was Lennox Lewis unfairly labelled ''boring''

He had some stinkers here and there like most fighters do, but overall I don't consider him a boring fighter.

same here. every cerebral, tactical fighter has boring fights but he had PLENTY of barnburners

 

"Tea time!". But honestly I don't label him as boring. Like TS said many fighters have had stinkers in their careers. I actually like him now that he's retired because I realize there will never be another Lennox Lewis and I wish him the best.

 

I never thought he was boring.

Even his tactical fights I enjoyed(Tua for ex).

 

Lennox might seem boring to casual fans, but boxing purists will watch any of his matches with delight. I have always been drawn to pure boxers and the articulate nature with which they execute their craft. The purity is what its all about, and Lennox examplified it with class.

I actually thought he was pretty dazzling in Ocean's Eleven myself.

 

Lennox Lewis had a few fights that were boring some were not. Lewis was known for putting on a show. This may be due to the fact his chin was not that good, that is If you knocked him down you pretty much knocked him out.

 

Found him boring as hell mostly, hated him as champ

 

Personally (and I know I'll get hell for this), I find LL's fights imminently more watchable than Ali's. Sure, Ali had some absolute classics that I don't think LL could ever really match. But overall footage of fights over their career...LL is a more exciting fighter.

 

Ali was in large part pretty dull to me. He had two classics with Frazier, the Foreman fight was good, Shavers fight pretty good. Some of his fights were fun to watch for Ali's talent, such as Williams and the Quarry rematch.

But for the most part, he wasn't all that entertaining for me to watch. He did some dazzling things in there, but you had to sit through a lot stink to get to those parts in the fights.

 

Hopkins is Amercian and he's boring as hell at times ..
