Like you stated earlier in this thread, the Leonard fans are so desperate to make Leonard's rather thin resume look better, that they go as far mentioning his win over Floyd Sr as a great win just because he happens to share the same name as his son who's a real great fighter.

Blanco, why do you make yourself out to be ******ed by bringing up Kalule and Mayweather when he also beat Duran into submission, had Hearns doing a dance, outboxed Benitez, and outhussled the bigger, strong, more active Hagler. Don't go off the subject, and I'm not asking you Rooster, I wanna know why Blanco, who I thought was a half decent poster, feels Leonard has a "rather thin" resume?

So then we shouldn't put to much stock in Norris failing to overcome Leonard, an old, weathered, shot to pieces Leonard?

He has a good resume, but not great. I'm not completely convinced of the Hagler win but if they say he won.....

A very good thin resume. I'll be fair to Leonard and say he drew with Hagler, Hagler simply didn't have the foot speed and hand speed to get close to the back peddler Leonard and catch him flush with punches like Norris did.

Your Rooster...you have to be...it's simply too much of a coincidence that there can be two brainless Norris huggers on the same forum.

he didnt overcome Leonard. He kicked his ass from pillar to post and send him packing

this isnt Floyd Sr or Kalule we're talking about but a young tiger who refused to let Leonard's rep intimidate him

Leonard's rank and reputation meant NOTHING to Norris. Sure he was great in the Hagler fight but he was no Terry Norris. Norris wouldve given to him the same public flogging no matter the time or place

    --------------------------------------------------------

weathered and shot to pieces? You got to be confusing him with Floyd mayweather or Marvin Hagler.

all you have got to do is look at his previous fight-Uno Mas to see the human jack rabbit in action. He dont lose none of that jack rabbit speed otherwise we would have heard about it :yep

Okay. So you now only give credit to dominating victories? Leonard wasn't destroying those guys because they were all exceptionally talented fighters, Norris never fought and beat anyone in the same vicinity as a Benitez let alone a Hagler. You're living in a dream world, Red. A ****in' dream world.

I'm disappointed Ray was even competing at that time, and Leonard don't make it on my top 8 favorite fighters of all time list. Where's Norris on your favorite fighters list, but more to the point, where's Leonard on your most hated? Voila.

You know red is a beaten man when he starts accusing anyone who has anything positive to say about Ray Leonard, of being Ray nuthuggers.

Addie makes it pretty friggen clear the fighters he follows and likes...And Ray has never been near the top of that list.

I give credit where there is no disputing the outcome otherwise it is a question mark in my mind. I am only going along with the decision over Hagler because it makes his fans happy and gives him more credibility

Believe me, he needs it. Especially after the Norris fight

Me and Rooster are not the same person and the mods can tell you were two different people. Rooster is from California and I'm from New York, the IP addresses would clearly show that and no need for the name calling, even if its not harsh. Its just my opinions only.
