Let me know if you want a pass into the Indiginous All Stars dressing room at Skilled Park on 13/ 2/10.
I'm sure the boys would be interested to hear your theories on Aboriginal and Islander blood lines.

Wow... such an issue of contencion???

Most forum members would be quite suprised at the % of Aboriginal blood that ran through the veins of most Aussie Aboriginal boxing legends. If I'm another who sounds like a pot sturrer, please take a little step back and do some research.

The fact so many fighters have dedicated their careers, legacy and positive influence as a whole, purely to serve a reflection of what Aboriginals can achieve is commendable. Being of no more than 30% Aboriginality has left plenty of fighters with nothing more than slight similarities of colour, facial structure or athleticism, to become considered the stereotypical 'native spear thrower' from the bush. Ridiculed as useless in the 1920's-1950's with 'White Australia' bull**** policies in place. If some pathetic comments printed in 1950's boxing magazines were printed today, the Magazine in question would have been kicked from here to Timbuktu.

The post career life of Elley Bennett, on a financial scale remains a ****ing disgrace, thanks to a certain Governmental body. Am I saying too much????

If a fighter is 20% Aboriginal blood, **** the Government and milk it for all it's worth. If a fighters career inspires just one kid to get off his backside and make a 'go' of it, the career was well served.

I see your point, I just think that you're overreacting in regards to the so called racism.

Actions speak louder than words, and I think you'll find that ozziebattler has a few indigenous and foreign friends. He also has a Lebanese girlfriend, and I think he's made jokes about Lebs on here as well. That should tell you something about how racist he isn't, and something about his sense of humor as well.

You obviously havent been to the NT.

There is the Indigenous Wage subsidy.
There is Free Housing in "camps", with FREE cleanup services. (i could do with a free housemaid...)
Transport concessions available only to indigenous.
Free Schooling - primary, secondary, and partially tertiary. When I say free I mean completely free, including evrything that non-indigenous still have to pay for (uniform if applicable, books if applicable, stationary, semester fees, bus transport... etc etc).
    Then there is ABstudy.
    Lower required University entrance scores.
and there are others im forgetting at the moment.

Not trying to point fingers, just making everyone aware that there are many things Indigenous people get that non-indigenous dont....
