If he doesnt freeze like he did vs Miranda, he is going to win.

Ward had a spectacular performance against Kessler but there were opportunities where Ward would lead in and his head would be open for a quick counter, problem was is that Kessler doesn't have the hand speed to have done something about it, while I think Green does. But I hope Ward dominates him.

Green maybe gots the handspeed to land on Ward, but does he got enough power to ko a chinned Ward? Maybe if he lands some straight on the button, but that's a hard task cause Ward def got def too. lol

I honestly believed if anyone "deserved" to be entered in this Tournament...its WINKY WRIGHT. Better fighter, Bigger name...And because of his body of work. There is no way he should have been over-looked in the original selection process in favor of a fighter that lost 3 of his last 4 fights (Taylor)!

Problem with choosing Wright is that he is so inactive and he just lost a wide UD to Paul Williams. Green and Bika should have been considered for Taylor spot in my opinion.

It's doubtful. Ward is no fool. I suspect we'll realize at some point he's one of the more difficult fighters to stop.

Oh yeah...I forgot to post a reply to your thread.

    Answer: HELL NO!!!

Ward is an COMPLETE fighter. He can Box, Solid defense with the ability to make you miss, can fight Lefty and Orthodox.

How many times have we seen Allan Green look AWFUL in the ring? Now don't get me wrong...He has talent. But Ward just has a VARIETY ways to win.

Ward will beat Green worse than he did Kessler. The odds of Green stopping Ward have to be less than 5%.

The bigger problem is that it's a super middleweight tournament and Winky is a career light middleweight who's 3-2-1 above light middleweight (and lost the one time he went above 160). Green and Bika are at least top 10-20 super middleweights for better or worse, so including them in a tournament of the best @ 168 makes more sense than the #1 guy @ 154 from a few years back.

Why no Bika. Bute is the fighter who should be allowed to knock Ward out, but Ward will never allow Bute to fight in tournamant. Ward will not fight in tournament unless all his fights are in his home town. Ward is working the heavy bag with his head to prepare for his head butting technique, Ward's referee will allow him to do anything.
