Tommy Loughren was a great fighter. If you want to know whether he makes it into the top 4 of all-time, you'll have to check and see in the coming weeks.

Why the laugh? Loughran beat the best at middle, light heavy and heavy. This should qualify him as a God of War. If Pep, Duran, Mickey Walker and Archie Moore made the cut, certainly Loughran should be considered.

You can't deny his accomplishments, technical skills, and he was one of the fittest champions in history. He was called the Philly Phantom due to his radar like defense.

Loughran definitly is up there with the best ever but there is still a little difference between him and the fighters inside the Top10 I think.

I don't deny his abilities. He was without any question an all time great fighter. However, we're down to the top 4 Gods of War here. You honestly think Loughran has any claim whatsoever to a spot like that?

A most excellent read. I still can't fathom his being above Langford though! Of those remaining, I'm really looking forward to your new angle on Robinson.
