I am really suprised at the closeness of this poll. I thought it would be almost unanimous that this ******* should be banned. There must be a lot of Margarito fans here or I guess a lot of you think it's no big deal to have plaster underneath your glove. F*ck it, let's start making boxing gloves out of iron and wear broken glass and nails at the knuckles.

    I couldnt agree more

If a fighter is through the use of drugs able to keep inflicting heavy damage later into a fight than he ordinarily would I would even go so far as to say that is MORE dagerous. No one ever died of a busted up face , almost every ring death is the result of a long protracted beating.

I think Shane, Roy , Toney and whoever else are as , if not more , dirty than Margo !

Really? So if I raped and murdered some child would I derserve one? Now I am in no way comparing that crime to the one of Margarito, but you weren't very specific. Besides, we are all boxing fans here. Is it really ok to let someone fight again that could've seriously hurt or even killed someone in the ring? People sometimes die in the ring without plaster.

Oh I agree with you that taking p.e.d.'s is dirty. It takes longer to take cycles of drugs than it does to put plaster on your hands, but I wouldn't say it is more dirty or more of an advantage. No one ever died from a busted up face? Maybe you didn't realize that the brain is underneath that face and when it gets badly damaged, someone could die. If I have a good chin and take your plaster beating then that's more damage to the brain.

Since he didn't get caught using them in a fight and the tests of the pads never proved it to be plaster he should get a second chance.

He should find another job. Period. Who knows how long he's been cheating his way to the top. It's rediculous for anyone who respects the sport to think otherwise IMO. You have to set a precedent for up and coming fighters. They decide to take people's lives in their hands and cheat in this way, you don't box no mo.

Let's try this again - Yes, he should be banned for life.

HBO Photo immediately following the Cotto fight.

I hear what you're saying but the most famous case , Billy Conn , his injuries were horrible but not life threatening.

Look at all the ring deaths and they almost come at the end of a long gruelling fight , if it turned out one of the guys had an extra three rounds of doing real bad damge in him then .....

To me its exactly the same thing if one gets al ife time ban then they all should !

Yes he should be banned for life although I have to admit I am curious to see how he will do clean against another top fighter.

Cotto should take the fight against him after the Foreman fight. Big $$ maker for him to end his career and I would love to see Miguel knock him out (although I doubt that would happen, at this point anyway)

    NO!!!

If mosley gets to fight after admitting taking steroids ( they did'nt even reverse the 2nd hoya fight to a ND ), then yes margo deserves a sceond chance.

I know mosley did not put a brick inside his gloves and I dont know how much it benefits shane for taking steroids, but cheating is cheating no matter how you slice it.
