Nah it is because you are a wanker. Brits love Irish fighters no matter what level they are. Most of the hate is all one way towards fighters. I do not dislike any Irish fighter. I just do not rate Duddy too high (I do not rate Barker much higher), I am not a huge fan of Lee but I would love to see him and Duddy fight...maybe add Macklin and Moore and have a little tournament. No one apart from Munroe fans hate Dunne but that can be expected when you have two good fighters near the top of a division at one time. The same way Calzaghe and Froch fans argue and Witter and Hatton fans plus Khan and Mitchell or Murray.

i say that because there is no other reason why anyone could hate john duddy he is a boxer earning a living and is popular , he is waiting for a shot at a title and he is doing no wrong so i just dont understand the hate for the chap
It MIGHT be because he is earning a dis-proportionate amount of money according to his ability and opposition he has been facing.... which let's face it, isn't particularly good. It's pretty clear he is exploiting the large ex-pat community on the east coast. Around four years ago (looking at Boxrec) it seems his career was progressing well. Ever since, it's been a steady stream of ten rounders against non-descript guys. There are decent middleweights on the British and Euro scene that he could have faced, and won some titles.... rather than facing Americans with multiple losses - which, if truth be told, means very little.
People hate Matthew Hatton for the same reason. Not because he is Rickys rother but because he is earning far more out of the sport than he deserves just because of a birth defect. The talk of Matty getting a straight shot at the Euro belt or the British if Brook vacates is so damn annoying.

Nobody can really think that John Duddy is good enough to fight a world title surely, if he had problems he shouldnt of got into the ring and got shown up anyways, I like Andy Lee i think he has something going for him, i think he could go far but Duddy is a human punch bag and it will stay that way.
