I've only seen him against sugar ray but hes a helluva fighter! Looked him up on boxrec and he made a ton of defences too! What can you historians tell me bout him?
No, Hearns and McCallum are the VERY best at 154 of all-time.......... No **** there......... DLH and Trinidad were very good, too.......... As was Jules Jackson and Terrence Norris......... MR.BILL
I agree with hearns 100% but alot of the other guys just kinda passed thru. Tito was good at 154 tho.
That's the thing. Far better ''passed through'' but I do think Norris was the best lifer at 154. So he didn't have the most reliable whiskers, he was a fierce SOB.
Yeah lookin at him against sugar hes a good boxa. very quick, good combos, feet, bounce. some slick moves too. Which fights were his best?
No, that honour goes to Hearns and McCallum or Nino Benvenuti. On the other hand I don´t think Trinidad and DLH should be ranked aside Norris. They are in the lower Top10 at best.
If you don't enjoy TN's performance on this one, at least enjoy George Foreman's commentary. ''like cookin' a pot of stew''. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fg2dzlyZvM8[/ame]
Hearns and McCallum were the best and they were there at the same time or near it. Thomas Hearns held his title from 1982-1986 and McCallum from 1984-1987. If I had to give it Hearns or McCallum I would give it to Tommy because of his wins over Duran and Benitez-two greats.
