What are your favourite rivalries and way...?

As a child growing up, i heard allot of Chris Eubank vs Nigel Benn, a true great rivalry captures the imagination of the public, its the talk of the street.

"It was one of my very first boxing memories 1990, i can always remember seeing the NEWS, and the picture of Nigel Benns face with his swollen damaged eye"

I must of been 4 years old...

A great rivalry people care about, the participants taking part......it matters to them. Its been along time since boxing really mattered to the public, its simply become just entertainment..! people do not sympathize
with fighters like they used to, all these "Changes in People" affect the magnitude of boxing events.

My all-time favourite rivalry has to be Chris Eubank vs Nigel Benn.

People sympathized with these guys, and it mattered. You have match ups in boxing, but you very rarely, rarely have rivals. When you are a rivalry with someone, you just want to beat them, plain and simple..im not gonna use any fancy play on words to amplify....what im trying to say..................

Even 10 years after their last bout, they still had this rivalry, they still had to beat each other....

Sometimes in life, you have to give some, to get some respect. Anyone who grows up in a rough area, will relate to that quote....

And its the same in boxing....

10 years after Eubank vs Benn II.....

Nigel Benn and Chris Eubank kick off on each other...

This beat is abit emotional, that's pride right there.

I don't care much for animosity just what goes on in the ring although i guess all aspects of the rivalry should be taken into consideration.

    Chacon and Limon

    Randell and Chavez

    Zale and Graziano

and my favourite Gonzalez and Carbajal

I grew up on the Eubank/Benn wars so I would agree with that.

I think there's rivalry and genuine hatred.

Holyfield and Bowe were great rivals, but ultimately respected each other and became friends after their first fight.

Barrera and Morales just hated each other, no respect (not personally anyway) and just wanted to destroy the other.

Then there's those fights that become sort of personal, either through one beating the others opponents more convincingly, or one winding the other up to thwe point where they explode.... Hatton vs Mayweather is a classic example of a guy who was edging the verbals until flipping at the final presser with throat slitting gestures.
