David Haye will face the experienced former WBA and WBC champion John Ruiz at Manchester's MEN Arena, on April 3 (which turns out to be Easter Saturday). The fight will be on Sky Box Office.

I'm lucky enough to get it for free, but to be honest I usually have better things to do on a Saturday. No offence to Ruiz, but I want to see Haye's next fight. I only posted this because it was just posted on Sky Sports' web site :thumbsup

nice. will be an interesting fight. regardless of what people think of ruiz, he has been around the block and has a lot of experience and ruggedness.

yes his style is quite ugly, but i am interested to see how the new champ handles this opponent. i just hope ruiz isn't shot because i want a competitive fight.

EDIT: i don't want ruiz to win. lord that would be horrible lol. i just mean i want ruiz to show up and give it his all so we can all see how haye is progressing as a heavy. afterall we all want a klitschko/haye showdown eventually.

I trust boxing rec more than sky sports. I just checked and the fight is not conformed on box rec, But Sky sports web site says the fight is 100% on (view link).

I was hoping it was going to be in London so i could go, but apparently its going to be in Manchester?

Does anyone have any additional news on this bout?

Prediction for this is Haye by TKO...... Round 8.
