Eubank - Benn was legendary, it wasn't just the boxing, it was a clash of characters. Benn, especially early in the rivalry, hated Eubank. He just couldn't understand him, didn't get him... Eubank got under his skin. For one, Eubank actually gave Benn great credit, and for two, Eubank proclaimed that he hated boxing. Benn just couldn't get his head around those attitudes, it foxed him.
MAB vs EM 3-0 to MAB (in the eyes of the real world) Watching MAB give Morales a dig at the press conference Waving his finger after the 3rd fight - "**** you 'El Terrible' I got your number boy :finger"
Benn's face from 5:10 to 5:20 in that vid.. That man truly has such an inner beast in him, My-****ing-God....
I was told once, by someone in the know, that Casamayor has only ever done a full training camp for two fights. Both were against Diego Corrales. That was a big rivalry between these two, especially behind the scenes.
Your post reminded me of Duran after the first Leonard fight! Most awesome reaction ever to winning and Leonard would go on to say afterwards that, 'Duran's eyes were like something I've never seen. They had a look like Charles Manson.':rofl Classichappy:good.
Didn't Eubank say he had never been hit by anyone as hard as Benn? Said he was in agony for days and couging up blood. Also Hagler and Leonard had fierce rivalry even though only fought the once. They were compared for years and Hagler was always treated poorly compared to Leonard who was given everything. Funny enough just finished reading the book Sorcery At Caesars about their fight in 87. Good read. All 4 of them boxers had fierce rivalry. All fought each other. No mucking about.
