Who has a better Legacy, Shane Mosley or Felix Trinidad? Felix "Tito" Trinidad 20 Title fights won 4 time world champion 3 division champion Notable wins: Camacho Campas Whitaker DLH* Vargas Joppy Mayorga Reid "Sugar" Shane Mosley 18 title fights won 3 time world champion 2 division champion Notable wins: Molina Leija Diaz Margarito Vargas Vargas Mayorga DLH
tito god knows how many of mosleys victories were due to taking ped he should have been banned from boxing a long time ago
:rofl I go for Shane Mosley on this one due to resume and the time he beat those said fighters. Tito didnt win against DLH. LOL
Mosley is a 5-time champion in 3 weightclasses. I guess you didn't count what he accomplished at 154 because of the steroid thing, because you also don't include his 2nd dlh win in your list of notable Mosley wins. That fight is however in the books and so is the fact that Mosley won 2 jmw title belts in it. Just saying. Anyway, to get to the legacy question, it's hard. Tito is a little more impressive in the opposition category, but Mosley shades it in terms of longevity, and h2h, i slightly favor him, too, prime for prime at 147. At the end of the day tough Tito edges it as it stands now. The thing is though that Mosley may well accomplish more significant things yet, and i'm pretty sure Tito won't.
Wether it's in the books or not it matters not, the MAN ADMITTED to doping right before the DLH fight and before winning his 3rd division and 4th world title.
You can't point the finger. what about Tito? That left hand was his only weapon and the world knows why
Sugar could have easily been supreme at 140 and taken out Tito and Oscar @ 147 and he could have avoided Wright and Forrest. If his career was managed that way just like Floyd's is managed today this question would even be stupid to ask. But he decided to take the hard route and in the process he roided up to get that extra advantage. At the moment I still think Cheato Trinidad is a step above.
VERY Close, but I'll take Tito Trinidad Started 40-0 20 Title defenses 3 Division Champion Won MORE Titles (5-3 I believe) MORE Divisions (3 to 2) Better resume (though Shane is catching up) Don't forget some of Shane's biggest wins were Tito leftovers. 1. Oscar DLH (obviously Shane looked MUCH better than Tito) 2. Vargas (Tito had already killed that boi) 3. Mayorga (Tito had already killed that boi, and Shane didn't look TOO good against Mayo actually) IN SUMMARY: If you have (1). more title defenses; (2) more weight divisions; and (3) a better resume????????????? Though Shane/Tito would have been a helluva match....I'd take Shane at 147 and obviously Tito at 154.
Tito was a 5 time worl champ in 3 divisions and fought the very best of his era Shane an old Molina and Leija and didn't to many undeafeted fighters like Tito did and uinfied titles in 2 divisions and Shane none.....
I think the same of Tito........Imagine if he would've stayed at 147lbs or 154lbs (which was his best weight) and avoided BHOP, we would be talking Tito in "mythical" terms, because NOBODY his size could put a dent in him, though DLH outboxed him...
The man was getting tagged repeatedly by Kevin Lueshings left hand, and went life and death with him, so much for nobody putting a dent in him. For me its Sugar Shane without a doubt, his victory over Margarito was something else. And he put up a better fight against both DLH and also Winky Wright. Although Trinidad did bang out Mayorga more convincingly.
