how? :huh Gamboa is clearly the in and out type of fighter Juanma has always been considered a puncher first then a boxer
i think alot of yous r going crazy after saturday night.as if lopez didnt look really good and was in there as the challenger with a champion who only lost 1 fight n defended the belt 5 times in a row while gamboa was in with a club banger who came in 122 in a 126 fight and was already pretty beat up by lopez 3 months ago,yea lopez struggled in the end of the mtwga fight but hey that shuld teach him sumthng,LOPEZ HITS HARDER and GAMBOA IS FASTER thats without a doubt...wat a good fight this is going 2 be when it happens. lopez needs to add a nice jab and hes going to be just fine...26 years 2 time weight division champ already old 27-0 with 25 knockouts 1st person to stop penalosa and ponce de leon(1st round) he has more power
I am just saying speed does not always translate into a W when two top fighters in their prime meet look at Cotto and Margo as well
Its JML. He has too many 1-shot KOs for me to believe otherwise Gamboa hasnt knocked anyone out with one punch. He overwhelms them with speed and they get caught because they have no idea what he hit them with. Mtagwa being a perfect example. Gamboa was so fast he had zero time to react. It was obvious. He'd see the first punch and the three behind might as well have been out of nowhere. Like I said before, being able to even predict you are going to get hit makes a huge difference. The ones you dont see are the ones that KO you
for the record i think Gamboa should be the fovorite because of everything that has transpired so far but people are sleeping on Lopez no doubt
Even though Gamboa did have the "easier" fight the other night. He still showed he is the better professional. I do not see Lopez going the distance with him and Lopez leaves himself open to counters constantly by being very robotic in his combination's. To bad Edwin Valero moved up to 135. I would love to have seen him and Gamboa mix it up. And who knows, it could happen. Juarez would be a good match up. Tough and experienced.
I think that Gamboa is more precise and a more athletic allowing him to work varying angles to surprise his opponents and that Juan Manuel is actually the harder puncher of these two.
That uppercut that he caught Luevano with was a thing of beauty, the sweat flew and dog when I saw that, I knew the fight was pretty much over. I jumped out of my seat and ran up and down the isle, but i still thought that Luevano would get up as he did, but he was in very bad shape thats power and the killer instincts to boot
I SAID IT ONCE N IMA SAY IT AGAIN... i think alot of yous r going crazy after saturday night.as if lopez didnt look really good and was in there as the challenger with a champion who only lost 1 fight n defended the belt 5 times in a row while gamboa was in with a club banger who came in 122 in a 126 fight and was already pretty beat up by lopez 3 months ago,yea lopez struggled in the end of the mtwga fight but hey that shuld teach him sumthng,LOPEZ HITS HARDER and GAMBOA IS FASTER thats without a doubt...wat a good fight this is going 2 be when it happens. lopez needs to add a nice jab and hes going to be just fine...26 years old 2 time weight division champ already, 27-0 with 25 knockouts ,1st person to stop penalosa and ponce de leon(1st round) and about 10 1st round ko's in a row,he has more power people!! i been watchin juanma and gamboa for years now people r starting to hop on da bandwagons which is good they r getting more known everytime they fight gamboa has been dropped before a couple of times and juanma has never been in trouble except the mtwga fight.with as many ko's and 1st round ko's as juanma has he is very FRESH these guys fight every 3 months jus about well at least juanma gamboa only has about 17 fights as a pro.THESE 2 MEN R DA FUTURE OF BOXING and are both so exciting to watch its going to be a hell of a fight when it happens n ill b there in msg
