On a scale of 1 to 10, where 10 is Ali, Cobb, Hagler, Lamotta etc, and 1 is a tomato can.

8 Fighters like Tua, Ruddock,Morrison & Tyson all landed big shot on Lennox his jaw held up fine. The times Lennox got KO'd was all his own fault & he knows it. He had a bad habit of losing concentration in a fight he thought would be easy. Against opponents he rated higher he didnt have lapses

9... 1 KO he lost on he was fine, he just went down from a huge hit on the button, the other was again a huge hit perfect.

He fought a lot of big guys who could hit hard and only hit the canvas twice. Granted, he didn't carry on after hitting the canvas (though maybe he could have Vs McCall) but that's still gotta be a pretty good record.

    7-8.

Fought maybe the largest assortment of heavyweight bangers of all time, some absolute SHW beasts.

Sparked out with one of the biggest right hands ever thrown in a HW fight. No one faults Fullmer for being sparked out by Robinson with one perfect shot.

How about the ultra tough, iron chinned Viruet being sparked by Rosario with one perfect shot?

    Duran against Hearns?

Ali nearly being stopped by Cooper?

It happens in boxing. As long as it doesn't consistently happen, how much can you really fault a guy who fought world class opposition 90% of his career including several of the biggest HW bangers of all time?

He was stunned by a few of them... Vitali, Briggs, Mason, Bruno... But was only off his feet twice in his entire career. Pretty remarkable, hence the solid 7-8 I feel he deserves chin wise.

    7. More unreliable than bad: when he was unfocused and/or undertrained, it could let him down, but more often he could take a big bomb. He fought in an age packed with very heavy hitters and managed to stay on his feet in almost every fight and was only knocked out once in exceptional circumstances. On the other hand, he was knocked out by a single punch against Rahman, which is not the mark of an iron chin.

You don't factor in his preparation for the fight for that ko?

The biggest knock against Lennox is getting KO'd by one punch twice.

Supposedly glass-jawed (and out of shape) Frazier got up 6 times against Foreman.
