The Williams-Cintron fight will be for a title.

Martinez will get stripped of his 154lbs WBC title as soon as the fight with Pavlik is announce.

Then Williams and Cintron will fight for the vacant title.

Remember where you heard it first.

Are you saying that Martinez will beat Pavlik and be the new MW champ, so he will be stripped of LMW title!

    Cuz that sounds very do-able!

So Cintron will have a title soon? :D

Actually, Chef says from his first hand experience that Cintron has no heart and wimps out of sparring if it gets too rough. Will hurt a hand or something. Maybe we should take bets on which round Cintron starts whimpering because Williams doesn't take breaks.... :think

Nah Williams is too athletically gifted for Pavlik to be getting his own way, he'd just jab the **** out of Pavlik and move out his way !!

I don't think Paul could KO him but if he fought smart i think he could outbox him and out smart him

his jab doesnt have much snap on it and he's bit hit by everyone he's fought. he won't be taller or stronger than kelly. unless paul learns how to fight tall and stay out of his opponents range a little better it will be a long night for him...or possibly a short one :D

as far as cintron...its going to be a long night for cintron.

There is only one attribute that Pavlik has over Paul and thats power, but problem you guys are forgetting about is the fact that KP may not have the opportunity to display his power because of the other advantages PW has over him!!

speed, workrate, quickness, athletism, heart, chin, foot work, boxing skill, height, reach, determination, courage, stamina, ring smarts, experience, ect..........

Who would you wanna be!?:D A cheetah or a wilder beast!:D

i cannot agree that paul has the edge in

heart: see pav/taylor I. williams has heart by the truckload too.

    chin: see pav/miranda

    height:

determination: when you are limited fighter, you have to have determination to become champ.

    courage: similar to heart

experience: how many top p4p fighters has williams been in the ring with?

ring smarts: how can you say a tall guy who doesnt fight tall, who doesnt stay out of range of smaller guys and disregards d like he does to have ring smarts?

despite what everyone wants to say about paul being this boxing wizard who will look like the second coming of bernard hopkins when and if he fights kelly...the fact is that both paul and kelly are pressure fighters with high workrates who like to mix it up and go to war. period. paul's response to being stunned or to feeling pressure is to turn it up even more. that's why he such a crowd pleasing fighter. like kelly, paul has been found by every decent fighter he's ever fought. both men will find eachother in the ring. when paul hits kelly with the best he's got, he will do so knowing kelly has been hit harder. when kelly hits paul with his best, he will do so knowing paul has never been hit that hard before.

Thanks. This is an excellent post. I am a fan of both fighters, but I still believe that Pav wins this fight inside the distance if it ever comes off. PW is not hard to find in there. Pav will land often enough for it to matter. The question is whether PW can take it for a sustained amount of time.

People underestimate Pavlik's timing. Pav/Taylor I was a case where it was on full display against an opponent who chose to stand and trade with him. JT did a lot better when he tried to box in the rematch.

I think this is a very hard fight for Williams to win. And it ain't got **** to do with race. PW will not be able to emulate the style used by Hopkins. He's not the same kind of fighter.

Martinez beat the crap out of Williams and Williams had to depend on his judges to cheat for him. Williams knows he lost that fight and that Martinez did not even have time to train for the fight! Williams is afraid of Pavlik, very afraid.

Let Kelly beat Martinez first, then he can challenge Paul Williams. Kelly is the one who took a year off.
