Unfortunately? I think most people know him as the guy across the ring from Gerald McClellan when he finally met his demise for all intents and purposes.
One of my favorite fighters of all time...love his style in the ring and he wasn't afraid to get in there with the best of the era.
sad but true. he was post prime at that point anyway. it sucks that that tragedy may define his legacy, which otherwise may be HOF worthy
One of the most inspirational fighters ever. It was his KO of Ian Chantler in '87 that got me hooked on boxing, at 7 years old! Win, lose or draw, Benn was always exciting to watch.
