Who is a greater pugilist Mosley,Oscar or Tito

I think he meant - if Mosely scores a win over FM then he will surpass both Tito & Oscar.

He should have worded it better but Im sure this is what he meant.

I give Mosely an ever so slight edge right now but if he beats FM, there can be little doubt he ranks higher than DLH & Tito IMHO (I dont think he will beat FM tho tbh)

 

Taking all three at their peak, Oscar was the best fighter all-round. All three are very closely matched though, there's not much in it, but I just think Oscar was the most well-rounded, most versatile and most intelligent.

Oscar did not clearly beat Tito. It was a close fight though. The Mosely rematch was close too.

 

Bollocks. Oscar clearly won both fights. I had him 8-4 vs Tito, similar margin vs Shane 2nd time.

I have to say that I picked Oscar by a small margin against Tito, simply because I grew up on Oscar fights, not to mention a lot of my relatives are devout Trinidad fans. Obviously, I think Oscar beat Pernell, but I will admit that the fight was close, and one could have ruled it either way. Now, Molina, Chaves, Quartey were great fights for Oscar. To say that he is better or worse than Tito and Shane because he lost to them is simply to say that fighter vs another fighter determines a fighter's ability, not a fighter's career.

That being said, Tito is a great fighter, had a ridiculous record with ridiculous fighters included, and I should rank him equally with Oscar, but I could only pick one. Shane, just for beating Margorito, who was questionably a good fighter, somehow gets recognition. Other than that, he's never impressed me. Yes, he has star power -- he throws a right Bomb! But when he lost to Cotto, and the way he lost to Cotto, for me, disgraced his record. Not to mention how he lost to Winky twice, how he lost to Forrest twice. Sure, he beat Oscar in Oscar's prime -- and that probably was the most significant fight of his career. Their rematch was very close, I won't say he lost it because he did win it according to his record, but regardless, one cannot discount De La Hoya because of this one loss, for, similar reasoning, would conclude that Cotto is better than Mosley, or that Glen Johnson is better than Roy Jones Jr. The fact is that Oscar and Tito will be remembered as all time great fighters, fighters who represented their era, who shaped modern boxing, and Shane will simply be a dude who won a couple of big fights, had a big punch, but has never deserved and will never deserve the nickname "Sugar."
