Zsolt Erdei is now a 2 weight undefeated world champ. As a LHW, WBO champ he holds wins over M Sahnoune, J Gonzalez, H Garay, T Ulrich and went up to CW to win the WBC title against G Fragomeni.
At 35 years old you cant be sure if hes in his prime or past his prime, but it would be good to see him in some big fights to know how good he really is.
    Erdei vs Pascal
    Erdei vs Cloud
    Erdei vs Dawson
How do you think he would do?

I think he would possibly beat Pascal and Cloud and could give Dawson a close fight

    What you think?

If he can add another one or two past prime Americans to his CV then he'll almost be as impressive as our Joe Calzahge.

The greatest record padder of all time. Erdei will never fight anyone with a pulse.

Erdei is shot. He has one more fight left. His health condition is extremlly poor right now. He got serious neck problems.

Erdei wasting much of his prime years fighting no hopers and cans. The guy might have had some real talent but we will never know.

Zsolt has always been a good fighter, Erdei-Frag was FOTY material btw for anyone who hasn't seen it.

I wondered how long it would be before Calzaghe was mentioned on a thread that wasnt about him. But was Sheika, Lacy, Mitchell, Brewer and Hopkins even at his age so past his prime having just beaten Winky and then beating Pavlik?
As for Erdei he won his LHW title off of Gonzalez (Mexican) but who resides in America.
But why do you need to have so many American name fighters on a resume to prove greatness? I think that is a bit of a stigma, great fighters come from all over the world, just due to TV etc some get more known and then generally more appreciated. An example of this is Chris John, massive in his home country but not known so much elsewhere even though he has wins over Marquez, Gainer and Juarez

He's not as bad as people make him out to be but he definetely padded his record with no hopers.

Not entirely his fault as much as his promoter's.

He does have talent, you ca nsee it just by watching him fight some lower level guys.

How high a level talent? That we will never know.

JC was light years more talented than Erdei and far more proven.

Just out of interest for someone who never really followed his career, how many gifts/robberies was he involved in?
