i understand. but what if they simply let arreola fight austin, or whoever? arreola will get away with it, and he'll probably get moved toward a title shot at david haye. if he does, i will vomit.

will adamek get TV dates, if he gets by estrada? i hope so. i bet he'll have to fight guys like travis walker on internet PPV every 3 months. only alternative i see is going to germany for a WBA elim fight( chagaev? boytsov? ustinov?). he may have to if there's no US TV money forthcoming...

hopefully HBO's plan does work out, re potentially exciting heavyweight fights. arreola has not co-operated. time to get rid of him.

another solution for the paucity of TV dates: get adamek on a big fight undercard.

I'm affraid this is correct. I wrote about this about two weeks ago. Adamek simply represents too much risk and not enough reward for Arreola who doesn't need Adamek to get his belt shot anyway(if he beats Adamek ppl will just say Adamek was not a real HW anyway). He already got name recognition as it stands, so the safest course of action is to look impressive against bums. I speculated that Arreola's camp would wait until the Estrada fight and then make their move based on what they see from Adamek in that fight. But if Adamek wins big against Estrada, it would be much more difficult to get Arreola out of the fight, while saving face. Nothing short of a faked injury, would justify a pull out at that stage adn Arreola is just too proud for that ****. Arreola camp's decission to steer clear away from Adamek is a good business move imo.The internet has already started talking loudly about Adamek-Arreola and they want to nip that in the butt before HBO gives into the pressure and demands the fight. For Adamek this can be the CW situation all over again.

then it's up to HBO, not to reward arreola for such tactics. and to offer TV dates to adamek for similar types of fight.

arreola has been spoiled and has gone rotten. get rid of the rotten apples.

Unfortunately, even 200% commitment is not enough for Cris to beat Klitschko.

Klitschkos are beating the best heavyweights out there period. The fight the best. Haye broke a signed contract with Vlad, and ran like Hell! Haye also ran from Vitali with an implied contract, that he broke!

Yes, both Klitschkos show up to fight, but the problem is that 99% of their opponents don't. You cannot start to begin thinking about beating a Klitschko if you're not in great physical shape and be willing and able to take a beating while trying to get past their jabs in order to neutralize their reach. Most of their opponents are lazy and fight scared or at least way too conservatively. Its a sign of the times - limited skill , limited preparation and limited courage, making Klitschkos look untouchable, which they are not. Adamek may change this trend.

Some opponents basically do nothing but defense hoping the Klitschko will punch himself out. Some opponents try to pressure the Klitschko and get jabbed to death during the process while not being able to land a decent punch. I liked Vladimir K. when he was trained by Sdunek but I'm not a fan of the Emanuel Steward/ Lennox Lewis type boxing he does now.

I see Adamek winning by knockout after a brawl. I think he's just tougher, faster and has just as much power.

just rewatched arreola vs vitali !
and i feel adamek has a great chance winning this!
The blueprint is already out how to beat arreola !
But adamek will knock him out cause he throws real powershots!
Vtali has a good workrate but his punches arent thrown that powerfull these days! he is punishing the other guy quite badly but adamek will throw punches with real mean intentions!

I think the same. If you arent very skilled technical boxer like Dawson or Cunningham, then your only chance is to rush on Adamek since beginning. The longer the fight goes, the bigger will be Adamek's advantage in the ring and the bigger chance for KO to Adamek. Althought Adamek is very tough guy, so he is well prepared to such rush.

so it looks like HBO might hold firm on the adamek-arreola fight?

but why do HBO want arreola in newark, considering that HBO aren't televising adamek-estrada?

on another note, it looks like adamek-estrada is getting a TV replay, and soon after the fight. don't know the details, but it seems it is getting delayed coverage and the golota fight has already been replayed.

was there anything interesting to mention here or only he said he will defeat Adamek and Adamek's made a mistake for taking him as an opponent ?

I know this post is old, i was just going through the thread though (great read, povetkin looks to be getting good in his last fight, and i cant WAIT for a showdown between Adamek and Arreola, ill be rooting for Adamek to brutalise him in spectacular fashion!)

But this post just needs addressing.....

    For the record

    Lewis - Vit
    Vit - Sanders
    Vit - Williams
    Vit - Arreola

    Wlad - Barrett
    Wlad - Jefferson
    Wlad - Sanders
    Wlad - Brewster
    Wlad - Peter

among others, were far from boring...
