After the Clottey fight, most boxing fans will demand the Mayweather/Mosley winner. Those other names you mention will not make nearly as big of fight and will be similar to the Clottey fight in terms of interest.

May/Mosley = big deal. Pac/Clottey = meh

 

I can see the fight going 12 rounds, and you know how bad some judges are. Either fighter could get screwed by them, so a rematch clause makes sense.

It does, however, decrease the chances of Mayweather vs. Pacquiao happening any time soon...or even this year.

 

Nearly all the top fighters always have a rematch clause in their contracts. The only time it becomes distorted are in Trilogies.

 

I doubt the loser will be a draw (depending on the loss), and if the winner can't reach a deal with Pac other guys are out there will.

The bold part, what has that got to do with anything??????? At the point negotiations with Maywether broke down he was one of the top guys he could fight, I don't get it.

Anyway this could potentially work out poorly for Manny, he is one of my favs in the WW devision but if Shane vs PBF does well and more importantly bigger than Manny vs Clottey (which I think it will by some margin) then I can see Floyd demanding the testing AND a 60/40 split and if Manny doesn't accept I can see him kinda left out in the cold.

PBF could fight Shane again to take away that from Manny then who meaningful does Manny fight then? I dont even like the fight against Clottey.

 

I agreee. If Floyd wins, and that fight does well, Manny will lose a lot of leverage. However, he can still work this to his advantage. I don't believe that Pac actually believes that blood being drawn will weaken him. With that being said, he should go to the public and state that he will take the blood tests despite his aversion to having blood drawn. He should go on to say that he's all about the fans and that he is willing to do what is neccesary to make the biggest fight possible. He'll at least win the P.R battle doing this. Right now, Mayweather is kicking his ass in that area.

 

Clause or no clause I can't imagine Shane being scared to rematch him if he was to lose. Kind of a needless clause unless it outlines terms for the rematch.

 

Yea everything points to this fight doing better, you have to remember alot of boxing officinados didnt really get behind JMM vs PBF fight and it still did 1 million + with UFC on the same night!

Because of Shane jumping in the ring after ward causing a ruckus I think they will play on this and say its a grudge match plus they got alot more time to hype it up!

So I think PBF will be back in the driving seat if (and its a big if) he wins and wins convincingly! To be honest I dont mind who PBF fights after this, he can fight Berto or any other decent WW if he fights Pac man then that is a great bonus!

Manny has that superstar following now that he can fight anyone and people will love him.... When he beats Clottey (as I expect him to) I hope he fights Shane

 

After the Clottey fight, the public will be demanding to see if Pac is OK after the epic beatdown.

Everything Lil' Floyd does means he is scared, right. I mean Floyd is just a big coward. This is a guy who has gotten in the ring with and beat guys like J.L. Now that was a rematch clause to complain about. Floyd is doing what everyone in the world has been asking him to do, fight the legit 147 champion of the world and you bums still cant give him any credit. Floyd Mayweather Jr. is going to beat Shane Mosley, unless he gets robbed. And that is what the clause is about, it's Lil' Floyd's insurance policy against a robbery.
