Let's get one thing straight about Shane before the excuses start flying...

Yes, he is clearly past his best physically. He doesn't quite have the stamina or speed that he once had. Although it is probably closer than a lot of you detractors are giving credit for. This is true.


HOWEVER, where he is slightly diminshed in those categories, his experience, ring-generalship, planning, durability, chin, and brute strength makes up for it. I think right now he is extremely close to his maximum overall effectiveness.


So please stop with the excuses now that this fight is made. And I say the same thing to those who try to talk trash about Pac fighting Clottey. Both of these are good fights, and I expect to see the winners (Mosely and Clottey) to give us an even better fight for King of 147.

 

Mosley will fight Mayweather and not Clottey/Pac if Mosley wins due to the rematch clause.

He may be past his physical prime but overall he is more experinced, crafty, intelligent and more of an instinctual fighter who is a lot more efficient than he use to be. This will be Floyd's BEST win to date if he can get past Shane. The age will always be brought up but it doesn't make it right to use that as an excuse should Floyd win.

Im surprised Floyd took this fight, this fight is gonna say alot of things about him. Honestly I wanted to see this fight more than the Pac fight.

mosley is a grandad, and would be 46 by the tym his remach comes along.

 

I can't say I would bet against this Shane going against the old one. He is more durable and ring-smart.
