Due to his size, power and chin I think he would do okay. Obviously he has no MMA experience so if he was taken down, it's game over. Should he land with those huge hooks and small gloves, the there opponent can say goodnight.
MMA fighters are standing up more which gives David Tua and other boxers such as Mayorga a good chance.

I'm picturing a style and outcome similar to Mark Hunt's coupled with the level of fear a prime Crocop struck in people. Tua's left hook would be up there with the LHK as far as legendary strikes.
tua's the man and **** but fedor is like a ****ing master in leverage and will sambo throw his ass down and armbar him rather quickly if tua had no mma training. but no way in hell would anybody take a full extension tua hook, and every puncher has a chance.
It all depends on the context of the fight. If David Tua were fighting Kimbo Slice or Tim Sylvia - he would probably KO them in a matter of seconds. However - if he were fighting Frank Mir, Nogueria, Brock Lesnar, etc - he would be taken down to the ground and possibly pummeled into unconsciousness - or have his elbow broken and shoulder dislocated and then sent back to boxing with his tuaman tail between his legs like when he sleepwalked through his title shot against Lennox Lewis.
hey ill tell u something. as long as 2 fighters are of the same weight, the guy with bigger punch, considering he is a world class pro boxer would be able to land before the MMA dude has had the chance to wrestle him.
you shouldn't be posting here because it sounds your so clueless. I've seen a good 10 -12 fights of David Tua. Does the ko or Rahman or Ruiz ring a bell??albeit it was a while back. MMA fighters don't have any head movement. Once they go in head first to tackle Tua, they will be met with a good left hook and its goodbye.
As mentioned before,if tua hit any1 with mma gloves then it would be lights out.. But if he were to get taken down then it would only be a matter of time before he got submitted.. Its hard to say how he would go...Serious punchers chance obviously.. Look what Ray mercer done to Tim sylvia..That was one brutal punch..
