Bute can fight the winner of the big 6 tournament. I always thought Green-Bute would be a 50-50 fight.
Im impressed he has the tools but due to the tournament no opponents no chance to prove himself we will see him shine or fall in a few years when the smoke a the super 6 clears
Bute was already up before the ref told Andrade to get into his corner and the fight was already over anyways just the timekeeper waited for the ref befor he rang the bell. Bute is the one who got ****ed over by this dumbass ref. If the ref had not paid attention to Andrade, Bute would have won anywyas and there would be no controversy
A case could have been made that the ref should have stopped Bute from taking the last punches. He was out on his feet and defenseless.. But, it was a title fight.... To me that was the only part that could have been considered controversial.
Regardless of people's opinion of Bute and his status at 168, the fact still remains that he's one of the most talented fighters in the super middleweight division. Does anyone know if there's still a chance of seeing Bute-Miranda on April 17th ?
Well, Pavlik/Martinez looks to be penciled in for that date and HBO wanted to do a double header with Bute so I'd say it looks good. I don't know who else would be available for that date but P2K hasn't said anymore.
In Miranda's case, I guess it all comes out to how much is HBO ready to guarantee for such a fight...
According to one source KP signed a deal to fight at Boardwalk Hall on April 17th. The deal with Boardwalk does not name a specific opponent, but all signs point to Martinez. HBO may be willing to pony up a good chunk of change for Bute/Miranda simply because he is a former KP opponent. That makes good hype, and only the hard core fans would really know that hype is all it is.
Bute is the GOODS. and so is andrade. there is a reason why andrade got to him in the first fight and Bute came back like a real champion and took car of business in the rematch. bute has a solid resume at 168 andrade (2x) has only lost to the cream of the crop. Bika, Berrio( a very devestating power puncher with pretty good skills),And a shot to **** Joppy.not all that bad he only gots 25 fights. not like he has over 30-40 fights.
Based on seeing many of Abraham's fights, several of Green's fights, 3 of Froch's fights, a few Dirrell fights, 2 of Ward's fights, and a few of Kessler's fights, I'd make Bute the favorite over any of the guys in the sauerland six.
TBH i would favor AA, and KEssler to beat Bute. Froch would be 55-45 in favore of bute. but i thin bute would would have green driving his car laying down (like JT looked like he was doing when AA ko'd him) batter Ward and i would say dirrel would be a good match i say 50-50 due to the styles calsh and speed
oh and i would like to say its good that they are sharing a bill. but look for Kp to beat and KO sergio martinez in 5 with abrutal right hand. I know most poster will throw up their arms and say Well martinez was a Jr MW. But Kp will make it look easy really it could end sooner but MArtinez wil get up and the ref won't be quick to stop it. Martinez wIll be put to sleep. kinda sad though since im a big fan of his but his is a terrible match up for him Stylewise
Kessler looked shot against Ward. At the very least we now know for sure that Mikkel has serious problems with guys who are awkward and unorthodox. Abraham is to stationary, and not active enough. Plus, if you hit AA HARD he goes into his shell and backs into a corner.
