the problem is that marquez is probably the best equiped fighter to deal with speed. his timing will allow him to be able to hit anyone who is naturally faster than him and he wont have to catch khan too many times. i cant see how khan can win without wearing a helmet.

The funny thing is, Khan will still be criticized by these same people for deciding to take Juan Manuel Marquez on, despite the additional fact that he'll be a bigger test than Maidana.

However when thinking about it, a few important things have changed since this thread began. Khan has moved up to 140 and looked very good in doing so, whilst Marquez revealed his shortcomings in fighting above 135. So yeah, circumstances have altered ever so slightly.

But like I said, Marquez will give him more problems than Maidana ever would. Taking him on in a US debut is a very guttsy move. I stick by what what I would have said if I participated in this thread all them months ago......Marquez by late stoppage

i wouldnt go as far as many on this thread. i will predict however a marquez point victory in a close and aggressive contest.

You want to make it look like you're saying something significant, when the fact of the matter is you're not thinking when you're posting......

JMM went up past 140 lbs to fight p4p the quickest, the fastest, the most skilled, and the best defensive fighter in existence in boxing today......Marquez fought the best fighter in boxing at his weight of 147 lbs....

......and you're going to base that JMM has shortcomings at 140 lbs based on a fight against the fighter I described?:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

Who the hell has Khan faced at 140 lbs????:nut:nut:nut:nut

It should be a good matchup and a good fight.

.....but its ridiculous the way some posters would argue that the Mayweather fight proves Marquez cant hang with 140 pounders, which is ridiculous in that there is'nt a 140 pounder out there right not that anywhere rivals Mayweather Jr.

i see what ur saying. JMM has fought the best. hes a world class fighter which is something khan still has to prove. i stand by my prediction however age is the only thing that is worrying me as i know a prime JMM would have taken khan to the cleaners at this point.

Well obviously, Khan is still green and prime JMM was amazing.
