    Beautiful stuff.

Makes me think if he was ranked #2 p4p when he was past his prime - skillwise he was one fo the top guys in the sport throughout the majority of his career and, he could have been in the running for the p4p crown had he fought the right fighters.

Agreed. I feel the same way about him. Its a shame really. Having said that Marquez has still got a few more fights left in him.

Thats the thing right there.......alot in this forum, mostly Mayweather fanboys would have you think that Mayweather outskilled Marquez, when from the beggining, even the most loyal of Marquez fans like myself were saying that because Mayweather had ever physical advantage and he was at his prime fighting weight at the moment while Marquez was fighting two weight divisions above any weight he ever fought in.......you knew it was going to be extremely difficult to make it competitive enough to where you have a legit chance to win.

......but no, the fanboys say Mayweather just outskilled Marquez.:nut:nut:nut:nut

Saw him in knock out Juan Diaz in Houston last year, the way he worked out his younger opponent and gradually took over the fight before ending it with one of the the most perfect uppercuts your ever likely to see was simply brilliant. My favorite boxer and I'll be there if he ends up against Hatton or Khan.

He has my full respect for even taking the Mayweather fight.
But that's the warrior he is.

One of the better technicians of the last 10-15 years. Great fighter, HORRIBLE managers and promoters. Bernstein or whatever his name is may be a great trainer for JMM, but he really f**ked him over with his below average managerial skills.

Marquez didn't make it easy on himself by losing to Norwood and John.

That is your opinion and you are entitled to it. The John fight was on Youtube and if anything, it was a hometown decision IMO. Either way, it was Bernstein's decision for JMM to go fight there.

In the Norwood fight, a lot of knowledgeable boxing people and fans in general thought JMM won, including myself.

Just because some judge says a certain person won doesn't make it right. See Guzman vs Funeka as the most recent case of that occurring.
