How would you describe a prime Roy Jones?

    overrated by the american media

    someone who fought for money and not legacy. ducked a hell of a lot of good fighters to fighter police officers and bin men instead

    The only fighter I can think of who was so ****ing good in his prime that the #2 guy would be considered a walkover. Nobody was even competitive with him at MW and SMW.

    haha, i forgot about liles. yeah you're bang on. they offered the money, liles wanted nothing to do with it and he turned out to be not all that much anyway. DM is a ****ing joke and the only guy who actually wanted jones was collins. but he wouldn't come over so no fight

    I think alot of people have only seen the Jones that fought Calzaghe and Tarver.

    I followed his career all the way from the Olympics, and there was a time when not too many people wanted to fight. Sometimes he had to settle with lesser fighters.

    But I remember watching the Video live, before the Brannon fight when Jones called out all the elite SMW's to come fight him, no one did, so he moved to LHW in his very next fight.

    There was a great thread done the other day with roy jones fighting a policemen and the list of fighters he refused to fight

    go find that and wanker over it

    fact is your boy was an overrated, over hyped and glass jawed
