Kessler would have no chance against Bute.

IMHO, Ward has a better shot at beatng Bute than AA. Of course Abraham's power would make him a threat until the last second, but Bute showed before that he can fight a cautious fight if he needs to (see the Berrio fight).

I wasn't impressed with Kessler in the Perdomo fight. I know it was a stay busy fight, but Kessler wasn't comfortable in that fight against an overmatched opponent, who was a southpaw. Add his lost to Calzaghe (southpaw) and Ward (who switch to southpaw) and I'm starting to think Kessler just can't adapt to the southpaws.

I love Froch for his willingness to fight anybody and to give it all in the ring, but he doesn't have the skillset to be a real threat to Bute.

Well then you're a ****ing clown without a semblance of an ability to detect boxing skill. Bute is slick, fast, powerful, can defend well, counter and knows how to get his shots in. Weaknesses are stamina and chin. Him and Ward are the top dogs at 168 now imo.

    Dude your smoking crack.
I like Andrade and hoped he would win the rematch but he lost the first fight by a wide margin on points. And Bute was up before 10 even if the JUDGE took longer to count it.
And the rematch. Well F! Bute came in prepared and KO'd a fighter who had previously never been down (if I recall correctly)

Forget about the stamina problem. Bute had health issues before the first fight against Andrade (bad infection and an allergic reaction toe the meds). His coach wanted to cancel the fight but Bute insisted to go on. On an ordinary night, Bute has an excellent stamina. I insist, an excellent one. As for his chin, well, he went down from exhaustion. His chin is at least solid. He took bombs from Berrio and Bika.

bute is a very good fighter who will continue (or should) to get better. i was impressed by the second andrade fight. not so much by catching him w/ that beauty of a left that andrade walked face first into, but rather the body shot. that was precise and seems to be more than a abberation in his game since he's done it more than once.

from what i've seen from bute, he is very well rounded, quick and strong. he could stand to tighten his d up a little bit. a very good straight right would seem to be able to find its mark on him given his southpaw stance and that he is prone to dropping his hands sometimes....but it would have to be an above average right given bute's quickness.

also from what i've seen, i feel he could win the super six. if he could avoid aa's power and fight fire w/ fires against ward, he def could. i'm afraid a ward/bute might be a yawner b/c of their styles but i'd give bute the edge considering that bute seems to have more power than ward. i picked ward over kessler but hell, ward couldnt stop miranda whos been put to sleep at mw and smw and bute stopped andrade of all people.

impressed w/ bute?? i certainly am.

People are going to keep doubting Bute while he racks up quality opponent after quality opponent after quality opponent. Then when he's recognized as a top 2 or 3 SMW, Those same people will be saying "I KNEW ALL ALONG HE WAS THE BEST!"

Bute is a bit overrated in my opinion. he lost the first fight to andrade and won the second in convincing fashio. but he still hasnt left his home area and hasnt fought the top guys in his weight class. I hope he can get a fight with Ward(whom i believe is the best SMW) but we shall see.

I brought this up earlier in the thread. His last two opponents by body shot. Both durable fighters.

I shoulda rephrased that. he hast fought one big fight outside of his home area(MONTREAL, QUEBEC). nothing respectable there. fighting him there got him that decision vs Andrade the first go around when he was knocked out
