You misunderstood the context. The reason why Roach recalled the Mosley encounter in his gym around the Hatton fight is. To me it looks like, He's illustrating to the interviewer how far Pac has come since then to what's currently happening.
when mayweather judah was announced, everyone cried about how mayweather was ducking the true champion baldomir and how he was scared he would get beaten by the bigger man. We all know what happened straight after dont we. :rofl:rofl
Pay attention please - do you actually follow boxing - Cotto is on record as saying that he felt strong at the weight. He weighed in at a MASSIVE, HUGE, IMMENSE 1lb less than he did against Clottey. Cotto was arguabley the best WW in the world, he'd beaten Mosley, and he was in his prime. Obviously this isn't nearly as credible as going the distance with a 36 year old Lightweight who was jumping up two divisions for a payday.
Whoah! How did you come up with that words in Roach's mouth? To me, it looks like he is fine to fight Mosley ("too good a fighter" like cotto) if the money is right ("not enough money").
You failed to answer what roach had said in regards to not picking mosley and instead came back with some bull****.atsch
That's funny that sounds like a mayweather stance, yet you call him a cherry picker. Double standards anyone>>> Also i just checked over at the SCENE website they running with this story to. I aint the only one who read through roach's admission. They ducked Mosley.
He says Oscar is shot/Cant pull the trigger = 100% correct Hatton is not a good world champion= Again true Cotto is not the same anymore= True after Margarito cheated him Cotto was never mentally the same (shame he could have been great)
Pac is doing just fine fighting Cotto and then Clottey in his first two fights at WW. If he ends up in the ring with Mayweather, Mosley or both then he is a bit of a modern day legend in the fact that he does face the best there is to fight.
Who cares what Roach said, You can think for yourself can't you? Manny's record speaks for itself. Anyway, I'm bored with your attention seeking thread now.
Hatton was the linear, legitimate 140 champion. Had reigned for 5 years and was unbeaten at the weight. DLH was old and shot, true. Cotto was the best WW in the world. He certainly deserved to be ranked #1. Cotto showed absoltely no signs of being "mentally damaged" against Clottey - none whatsoever. He got a nasty cut, and went to war, winning the fight.
That is quite possibly the most error ridden, idiotic and downright backward statment I have ever seen at ESB. Where's the grammer police when you need them!
