Pavlik and Williams could not agree on the terms of a contract. The first fights was supposed to be signed and then Kelly pulled out saying he had issues with the staff infection in his right hand. After preparing for Pavlik Williams took a fight on short notice with a Martinez and squeaked out a close decision while Pavlik fought a tomatoe can. Who has Pavlik fought since winning the MW Championship? Rubio, Lockett and Espino come on? To me Pavlik has been nothing but a disappointment to me since taking the MW titel from Taylor. The MW Title is a very prestigeous position. You have to understand that. To me Pavlik has not done it justice. Pavlik needs Williams and I think Pavlik could win the fight by KO but I also think Williams could beat Pavlik on work rate alone. Hopefully we see this fight signed this year because it is good for boxing.....Lefty
