Can anyone here do them? It's the sort of thing El Puma would do, and I'm sure I remember Mach saying he does them as well.

What's the best way to work your way up to them? I used the lat pulldown machine today and managed to get into the 'dips' position with 60kg, but I weigh 80-ish. Shall I keep practicing like that or am I better off trying to get my pull-ups more explosive?

I can only just do ten chin-ups but I reckon I'm only about 20kg away from being able to do one muscle-up strength-wise, although the technique will probably take some mastering.

:think I've never tried those. If you lack the strenght to do one you should work on your biceps, triceps and back muscles separately until you develope the necessary strenght to do it. After that it's all practice.

It's the biceps and lats more than anything. If I could get enough momentum from the pullup to get into the dips position, I'm pretty confident I could push myself up the rest of the way.

Still no-one that does them? Maybe I should've posted this in the Lounge, most of the lads in there probably do a few hundred of these as part of their ninja training.

I do plenty of dips. But i dont do alot of chinups as my lats are pretty big. That said im average at chin ups.

The dude in the Youtube vid looks like a gymnast. Pretty sure he is one judging by his form.

gotta have alot of explosive strngth to do these.....thats absolutely no brainer. I can do no more than 2 in a row, after that im done. i dont know if there is a proper hand position, just make sure your thumb grips over the bar. you can start by moving legs forward lil bit and go up fast. try do do with one hand over the bar first, then once you get used to that then you can do both hands at once.

you gotta drop any excess body weight and keep on working on weighted pull ups, tryind to do them explosively

Na he's not a gymnast, I found a few videos on youtube and he's part of some black man crew in America that spend all day doing cool stuff on pullup bars. There's some called bar-barians, and there's some from Harlem, etc. They all try and beat each other but they're not actually gymnasts.

Yeah, I was also thinking about starting my pullups with a bit of a jump, just to get used to the bit where you go from pullup to dip, because if you try and do that bit slowly it's ****ing impossible, you're basically lifting your entire bodyweight by flexing your wrists.
