Carpenter was just awful in general. There's so many fights where Brits were taking thrashings and he would be doing his best to make it seem like a life and death back and forth struggle.

I like Carpenter. His wee segments before fights were good.

Well, I read all about him being such an amazing fighter and could trounce Louis and all that and when I watched him I was very underwhelmed. Don't get me wrong he is a great fighter just not a top calibre fighter IMO. He mastered the rules of his era and did very well but I think a great fighter is timeless and Johnson aint timeless.

Bruno shouldn't have fought Tyson the 2nd time. It was clear he didn't fancy the job at all.

Hatton I'm becoming more and more of a hater by the day. Up until the Castillo fight he was a great guy, I'll always believe that in fairness, but ever since he has become the most arrogant, delusional twat in British sport.

Cooper was obviously before my time, but yeah, when he does speak he always sounds bitter, deriding the achievements of Bruno and Lewis.

He probably doesn't realise that putting Ali down and being beaten up was the best thing to ever happen to him. If he'd gone on to win, he'd have been smacked around in an immediate rematch (he later was anyway) and forgotten by all but his dearest fans.

With Pacquaio its not his gracefulness. It's his flurries of non-stop punching from all angles. The combination of speed and power. It's just awe-inspiring to watch, and I'm not known as the biggest Pac fan around here.

    Anyway my picks would be...

Oscar - Just never really took a shine to him.

Pavlick - Maybe the fact that his fans just give the impression of all being trailer trash UFC type fans. I don't know. I don't like his style and I find him overrated and very exploitable.

The Klitscko brothers... no answer really neccessary.

Lennox Lewis - Not thrilling. He was dentable, and he beat my some of my other favorite fighters past their best. I recon a prime version of either Holyfield or Tyson could've beaten Lewis.

Jack Jackson - Not in rating, but in watching. Awfully boring, too much clowning, and too little punches being thrown. Maybe because the film is so old but defensively he doesn't look anywhere near as technically brilliant as late 20th century fighters.

Bob Foster - I don't even know why...

for recent fighters calzaghe. slightly inaccurate as i BRIEFLY took a fancy to him when he started challenging himself but then he went right back to **** talking and cherry picking

in history, i have to say ray leonard. LOVE watching the man, respect his skills but duran and hagler are two of my favourite fighters and i can't get past that.

Controversial but,Marvin Hagler. I could never got over the lack of respect he showed Ray Leonard after their fight, lets say for argument sake say Hagler did win, that was an extremely close fight one way or another so for Hagler to react that way was just bad sportsmanship imo.

I liked Harry. One thing I will say about him though was the way he always came to life at the sight of a blood and described the cuts in graphic detail. We always called him Harry the Vampire in our house.

Winky Wright is someone who I've been totally indifferent about. Don't like or dislike his style, never really rooted for or against him. Just didn't care.

Joe Calzaghe and Vitali Klitschko are two guys with styles that are just too damn ugly for my liking.
