I'm promess you if Miranda win this one i'll wouldn't be mad! I'll be ****in disapointed but not mad! But i don't think it will happens!
I dont count the Miranda we got with Pavlik or Abraham II. That was Miranda at his worse with excuses that I happen to know are true. The Miranda that showed up for the Ward fight was a Miranda that was in the best shape of his career, but with the wrong gameplan and trainer. If that is the Miranda that shows up for Bute (which most people expect) then he doesnt have a chance. Now the X factor that nobody knows, not even Miranda or Goossen probably, is will Edison Miranda be a different fighter after almost a year of training under Joe Goossen. If, and it is a BIG if, If Miranda is moldable into the fighter Goossen is trying to made him, then Bute is gonna be in for trouble. He cant train for what he has not seen. Im not saying Miranda will win, but it will be one hell of a fight.....
He was punching and connecting here and there, but he wasnt effective. The minute Abraham decided to fight it was over. I think Miranda got hit 3 times in that fight and each time he hit the canvas. By far his worse performance. 'Rumor' has it that he had blown up to 226lbs and had to lose 60 lbs in 8 weeks to make weight. Imagine what effect that had to have on him. Im not making excuses. He lost. Fair and square. Abraham did what he had to do and Miranda didnt. Im just saying that we should see a whole different level of fighter in Miranda just for the fact that he is and has respected his body while in training with JG.
You know I'll be pulling for him, but I just can't pick him over Bute in a public poll. I've told you before I've seen things I like about Miranda. Can Goosen help? I hope so. He showed the defense he sorely lacked before in the Ward fight but obviously got frustrated not being able to land. I guess it isn't surprising given his circumstance in life he has always lacked a little discipline.
I know you will be wearing your Pantera shirt on April 17th! :yep What Goossen brings is the missing discipline and leadership. Until JG took over, Miranda was always the head of the Miranda Camp. Bonilla was just there to give suggestions. They were too close of friends and the trainer/fighter respect did not exist. Goossen is a hard ass mother****er! He is a very unique individual and you do not cross him. He is the trainer and he runs the show. I fully expect Edison to walk in that ring with a plan A, a plan B and even a plan C. If non of those work Goossen will come up with something else in between rounds. It's not gonna be all about the telegraph big right hand. :bart
I'm interested in seeing Goossen's effect on Miranda in this fight. Obviously, he is the underdog, and with good reason, against a guy of Bute's caliber. But I would say he is a live dog, anyone with his punching power always has a puncher's chance, and if he has learned some discipline, has the right gamplean and executes it well, he could surprise some people. But, for me, Bute UD.
I give Miranda a bigger chance than most people. I'm not really high on Bute yet. If Andrade could rock him and have him out on his feet, Miranda could easily do the same.
Edison Miranda will fight anybody, anytime, any place. Guys like EM are good for boxing. However, I have my doubts about whether or not he is tougher than Zuniga and Andrade. Bute's power is pretty damned amazing, and I just can't see Miranda standing up to it. Bute has fast hands. Faster than Pavlik who beat Miranda to the punch all night long. I'll take Bute in 7-8 rounds.
Normally, Lucian should make him KO within 6 rounds. If he does it he`ll remain No. 1 SMW for The Ring and become again topspot for Box Rec also. But of course I won`t be unsatisfied with a UD.Miranda needs the best day of his life to have a real chance.I don`t think in the surprise but that`s why life is beautiful...
