I don't believe Marquez is in any way as shot as Barrera was when Khan fought him but I think with his age, someone with speed can make him look his age

If I was Marquez i'd go for a Hatton fight, a much bigger fight and a better style for him

Agreed, Hatton v JMM would have been a war.

A real tear up with more or less evenly matched fighters.

4 ****ing inch reach advantage combined with khans hand speed will devastate jmm... he will get pasted in this fight i fear.

and Khon, will be made to look a hero.

Roach has stated that HE (Roach) wants him to face Paulie for his 1st fight in America.

Well spotted, and how well did he do?

If this fight was at 135lbs and 2 years ago, he would have laid khon out inside 7 rounds.

    No chance now.

Marquez did ****, and 147 was complete rubbish for him - and he still got in a few good shots on Mayweather. Khans chin is suspect, so them shots could most definetly hurt/topple Khan, don't you think?

it was at 144 catchweight.... think he came in at 143 on the scales

yes khons chin is suspect, but at 140 it does look a little better than down at 135.

people forget that khon is a tall 140 lber... like i said, with his hand speed and quick feet.. a 3inch height advantage.. plus the HUGE 4 inch reach over jmm... jmm will get spanked by khons rapid jabs... and every time jmm tries to get inside khon will just back off and jab more.

watch the kotelnik fight, this fight will be so similar.

Khan has never been shaken at 140, he was at 135, a weight class that he was struggling to meet.

They do seem reluctant to face Maidana, which is a shame and a bit strange. Maidana can be outboxed, Khan could definitely beat him.

Yes I agree with you there, but describing Marquez as a 'powder puff' Isn't right. He's still a huge threat to Khan - And this is coming from a Khan fan.

Marquez has good power and will definetly catch Khan in the fight. If the limited Kotelnik and old/cut Barrera could clip Khan, then I'm sure the skilled JMM still can.

So Imo, JMM Is still a great fight. It'd be hard to disagree.

Don't go touting that armchair boxer nonsense about how putting on 5lb's magically somehow makes your chin stronger

Why would Khan duck him when he easily beat a guy that maidina lost to?

easily?, you obviously have not watched the fight.

Also, if they think it's that easy then why does Roach openly state Maidana is too dangerous

Styles make fights. There is no doubt Roach and Golden Boy would rather avoid Maidina for now.
