The Gman beat Roy in the amateurs as well. Why fight 2 of the biggest punchers in that weight class?

Simple. Jones has always had a fragile Glass Jaw. He always took the path of least resistance. Jones is a Glass Jawed fraud and disgrace.

Benn would never have caught Jones.

Also it's funny how Jones didn't get knocked out/floored once until the end of his career after he losing 25 pounds of pure muscle. So for 15 years he was THAT good that he was rarely troubled by anyone and achieved a great career with a "china" chin.

Tarver's career is literally right place, right time.

Jones was 199 lbs come fight night against Ruiz and 185 lbs come fight night against Tarver I. So that is 14 lbs of muscle, not 25 lbs.

Even during his prime he got hit flush in the Griffin I fight and he got dropped and stunned by Lou de Valle. Jones never learned his fundamentals so it was really only a matter of time before he got caught flush anyway.

Im a huge Benn fan as you can tell with my Username but at this time the fight would have been made or any time in there primes Jones would have tore Nigel apart just to fast and to strong. Benn wouldnt duck anyone he genuinely wanted to fight Jones.

But Jones went in to a safety first mentality after what happened to McClellan and Jimmy Garcia he was ringside commentating and from then on he was cautious in the ring and choice of opponent.

Griffin, Toney and Lou de Valle were able to hit Jones, so Im sure Benn would of been able to hit him also. I think Jones's power is overrated as well he never came close to hurting either Toney or Bhop. Toney was hurt badly in his fight with Reggie Johnson and Bhop was hurt and dropped twice by a journeyman called Segundo Mercado.

Okay my bad and still 14 pounds at that stage of his career had a huge impact on his skills reflexes which is what he relied on.

I agree Jones with Jones not learning the fundamentals but he wasn't exposed until Tarver 2.

After Tarver 2 he went from the p4p king to a journeyman, im not the biggest Jones fan in the world but his fight with Calzaghe was heartbreaking to watch. I stopped watching after about round 6.

Benns chin isnt as granite as Bhops or Toneys who both have 2 of the best chins in the last 25 years.

Meh Benn woudlve literally walked through Jones shots with his Bob and Weave style.

Benn had an iron jaw so he wouldve been able to land on Jones purely by eating Jones shots and throwing.

Not saying he wouldve won the fight though.
