Name some fighters with real shaky chins are even fighters with **** recovery skills (Hello Bruno and Mr Rosario)

Fighters whom haven't been discussed to death that is, whether its a obscure fighter or simply one who isn't discussed too often. Amir Khan, Tommy Morrison, David Haye, Wlad, etc... Don't want to ****ing hear it.

Errol Christie was brought up on here a few weeks ago. Expected to do great things but had absolutely terrible chin. That was a great shout out that made me look into a fighter whom I had never even heard of before.

Mentions of specific fights that showing a weak chin in action would be welcome too, youtube links, etc.

Another fighter from the UK, Pele Reid, had a absolutely **** chin. Massive power, stopped Vitali as an amateur... But a ancient Orlin Norris nearly killed him in one.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------

Honest question though.. Do they wear larger gloves as amateurs in the UK or some such? When I think of shaky chins a lot of fighters from the UK come to mind. Just off the top of my head...

Herol Graham, Errol Christie, David Haye, Pele Reid, Amir Khan, Henry Cooper (Equal parts chin and cuts, did suffer some devastating KO losses though) Bodell, Enzo Maccarinelli, Dave Smith, Nigel Benn...

A lot of these guys are from just the last few years... And many of the mentioned fighters aren't anywhere near bums. Haye, Khan, Benn, Graham... Some of the best fighters to come out of the UK in recent decades. Whats with the below average chins? :think

Gianfranco Rosi..his chin was his achilles heel..otherwise he was an underrated, though slop throwing, unorthodox spoiler.

I was looking at an old edition of KO Magazine, and he was the centerfold...(weird to use the term "centerfold" when referring to Rosi, lol)

Ed Hopson. Fast hands, could punch, had skills. A blown up Tracy Harris Patterson exposed his chin in just two rounds.

Here's a winning effort from Hopson:

I guess it's talked about quite a bit but Tony Mundine never took a great punch. He had all the skills, sometimes his chin just didn't hold up.

I'm not sure you can say Herol Graham had a bad chin just because he was KO'd by Julian Jackson. Benn's chin gets underrated as well, he just punched himself out against Watson, he didnt go down against Eubank in two fights and the punishment he took in the McClellan fight should have dispelled that myth but didnt, both stoppages against Collins were post prime and he wasnt knocked out, he was pulled out in both. Khan and Haye were both stopped sure but again Haye looked to have punched himself out against Thompson and hasnt been KO'd since against some vicious punchers. Someone who should be on that list though is Hatton.

I'd say in general British fighters chins do get a bad rap but alot of the time its simply unwarrented.

Two fighters from the past fit the bill....Ruby Goldstein tremendous ko sensation of the 1920,s,unbeaten until he faced , a tough animal named Ace Hudkins, who though dropped on his back, in the 1st round, got off the canvas and flattened Goldstein in the next round.Goldstein,s weak chin was exposed and he was ko,d many times after that.....Then there was A great boxer/puncher named Tippy Larkin, who seldom ever lost a decision beating outclassing everybody, including Billy Graham in the 1940s,winning every round from that great boxer, who I saw many times... Larkin,s problem was a GLASS chin...He only lost to great punchers like Lew Jenkins, Al Bummy Davis, Beau Jack,etc...Boxing wise he was unbeatable....Too bad...
