10oz might be regulation, but pretty much every big fight at 147 is fought with 8oz gloves , unless a boxer specifically requests 10oz gloves due to fear of 8oz gloves

It's in Nevada, so it has to be in a 20 x 20 ring. I'm guessing they both agreed on 8 oz. gloves. They're looking to put Saul Alvarez on the undercard. As far as the purse split, Shane said he anticipates bringing home $15 mill.

Why don't you go to the NSAC's website and find out what is a joke. I am sure you will find that you are a little misinformed.

No it is the EXACT opposite of what you said. Most boxers usually do go with the 8ozs though. However 10oz are the STANDARD not 8oz.

I can at the very least tell you that since the fight is in Nevada, the ring used is a non-negotiable 20 ft x 20 ft ring.

10 oz. isn't the standard anymore. Fighters only use 10 oz. gloves at 147 or 140 if both fighters don't agree on 8 oz. gloves. However, pretty much ever fighter would chose 8 oz. gloves if they had a choice. Ricardo Torres is the only fighter I've heard of that chose 10 oz. gloves and that's because he knows he has a glass jaw.

I understand what you are saying, but 8ozs are the exception not the rule. People throw that salt at Mayweather like he is the one that brings up 10oz gloves.

    http://boxing.nv.gov/New_FAQ.htm

Question: What are the gloves sizes based on the boxer/kickboxer's weight?

Answer: Athletes (boxers/kickboxers) weighing-in up to and including 135 pounds must wear 8 oz. gloves in competition, while athletes weighing-in over 135 pounds (junior welterweight class and above) must wear 10 oz. gloves in competition. However, athletes weighing in over 135 but not more than 147 pounds may wear 8 ounce gloves in competition if both athletes agree to do so in writing.

The only time he has recently fought in them was because OSCAR wanted them. Nobody is calling Oscar out on it?

Floyd fought Oscar at 154. Any weight class over 147, 10 oz. gloves must be worn. Oscar picked the brand, not the size of the glove. Floyd also fought Hatton with 10 oz. gloves, but they didn't have the rule at that time that allowed Welters to fight with 8 oz. gloves.

Yes Sir you are right. I framed that wrong.

My point is the baseless assumption that FMJ is always trying to get 10oz gloves. FMJ complained that he had to use 10oz gloves against Oscar. So if he would complain then why would he try to get them in WW fights?

He then bragged he KOed Hatton in 10oz as though he expected and desired to use 8oz, but couldn't.

My point is the pseudo-logic people use to mask their BS hate. Just hate out in the open.
