I had'nt heard anyone dwell on an argument that Pacquiao was on steroids.....even after fighters like Malignaggi, Cintron, and Floyd Sr.......had hinted he might be on them......

The backlash for Pacquiao has come strictly from his comportment for the reasons why he does'nt want random testing to happen......before then, there was'nt anyone harping that Pacquiao was getting it done through PED's.

 

The Hatton fight, it wasnt really the power that made him get KOd like that.

It was the zero head movement and poor defense, and lunging forward unprotected, hands down. Anybody would get KOd badly if they get caught in that bad position.



I think they have tried to compromise, but like what someone else said, "you give them your hand, and they want to take your whole arm".

It's about pride now, I think. Team MP probably feels that FMJ needs the fight more, financially, than Team MP does. MP probably feels that he's had all the money he needs now, and he can retire if he wants to, and it's a full career already.

But Floyd needs the mney to pay for some big debts and needs the fight more. ANd then he hears that he wants to demand so much extra stuff.

I have seen interviews from Arum, Roach and MP, and they all said they also really want to make this fight, and the talks will probably happen again, later this year.

 

According to Victor Conte, they took Mosley off what he was taking just 5 days before his fight with DLH to ensure that they would not be detected after the fight.

The way I see it, if they went by Pacquiao's suggestion to cut off testing at 24 days before.....you have 19 full days there where Pacquiao could go on a full PED rampage to physically better himself for the Mayweather fight.......stop 5 days before, and come out clean as a whistle on the other side of a drug test.

If this was a standard test for all fighters, I dont think they'll say NO to it.

It's just like, random.

It's not like he suddenly became superman and could KO people with one grazing blow, and not get hurt by 12 rounds of haymakers.

The guy is still pretty vulnerable, if only Cotto had landed more uppercuts in the middle-late rounds in their fight. He just clammed up and was too wobbled to be aggressive.

Hatton barely landed 10 meaningful head shots. But you can see the power in his punches.

The DLH fight, MP was just too quick, and Oscar was past his prime, stiff and a part time boxer by the time.

He didnt get super strong overnight.

 

Let me just add that I've heard just about enough of Pacquiao being such a nice guy, that he does'nt have it in him to cheat.....

You don't understand. We're talking about the POSSIBILITY of Pac on PEDs. Fact is anybody can get hurt with a normal punch. But imagine if the impact of that punch is doubled, maybe even tripled. In short, it's better to be safe than sorry. Mayweather is a great defensive fighter, yes I know this. But he is human. As great as a fighter is, he cannot beat superman if he's human.

No, don't buy into that whole "Floyd bullying Manny" crap. It's garbage. As far as I know Floyd wanted testing close to the day of the fight. Then Team Pac suggested a 24 day window. Floyd, still not wanting to give in, went as far as stretching out to 14 days. At that point Arum and everybody else just starting throwing a fit a walked away. You call that a form of bullying by Floyd?? Ridiculous! If he had been demanding an outrageous number of blood tests I can understand your argument. But that's not the case, is it?

It's not only about money! Pac's reputation has been tarnished and he has lost a few fans. Now you tell me - why wouldn't he want to clear his name by taking just a few tests?

I've stopped really liking him as a local celebrity since the early-mid 2000s because of some of the things he does.

His late night partying before, his local billiards/cockfight gambling habit, the women around him, his movies, his CDs, his hangers on, his way of skipping some scheduled interviews, back in the mid 2000s.

But I've seen him since the start, and he's a very superstitious guy when it comes to his work inside the ring.

He fears that God will take all his talent and his good luck away if he cheats, he brags and promises victory in the ring.

I think all the crazy stuff is off limits, once it's all about his work.

 

As I said, they also want this fight to happen. We will see this 2010.

 

Its no use......I've only heard one Pac fan even semi-disappointed that Pac walked away from the testing, and thats dhenzrae, but even he fails to put the full blame on Pacquiao.

I would'nt consider Bula a full *******, but when it comes to Pacquiao and you're Pinoy, Pacquiao can do no wrong.

Its a pity that some of his Pinoy fans cant take a stand against his actions but still be a fan of his.

Yeah there are a bunch of loopholes and it's crazy to know that it's rather easy to beat the system. If someone is accusing me of a crime, I'm not going to sit around and cry or waste time putting together a lawsuit. If all it takes is just a few moments of testing to clear my name then that's an easy decision to make. I could laugh at the naysayers by proving them wrong AND get to kick the accusers ass for talking trash AND get paid millions for it. Dude, it's a no-brainer.

 

I maybe wrong, but isn't the test done on Mosley was one **** test after the fight.

Pac agreed for his urine to be tested from the final promo press con ALL THE WAY to fight day and a blood test after the fight. These two instances are completely different.
