I've seen Benn down and stunned against some very mediocre and light hitting punchers fighters. Who was it that dropped in in that back and forth seesaw fight...? Was it Gent?

And wasn't Benn basically finished off by a stiff jab from Watson? :huh

Also, Haye was given a gift in his backyard when he fought the hard nut African Lolenga Mock. We're talking about a guy who's a natural 168lber with 12 knockouts in 29 wins. Haye should have lost by TKO but got a disgustingly long count. His own fans booed and heckled him at the end, Haye himself looked embarrassed.

Also, Khan, Enzo, and Errol truly do have among the most fragile chins of all time. Coincidence? :think

randy turpin and john conteh were both fighters who's punch resistance let them down badly at the end of their careers.

Yeah then there's Ken Buchanan, Joe Calzaghe, Prince Naseem, Chris Eubank, Junior Witter and Johnny Nelson. All good chins and I still dont buy Nigel Benn having a bad chin as I explained before, it wasnt the fact he was knocked out by a jab, he was clearly still conscious, he just punched himself out. So its not too bad.

i used to get told by people who knew next to nowt about boxing about benn's fragility.i tried explaining that benn was a front foot fighter and therefore when he did get hit it doubled the impact.

i gave up in the end and agreed with them.i even agreed with them when they said bruno would beat witherspoon because he was more muscular:-(

I don't really feel Hatton belongs in that boat. I think his punch resistance became low after fighting face first for years. This guy took some things from KT that would've leveled a man with a bad chin most likely. And according to a lot of UK fans, the referee hit Hatton with a ball-peen hammer when he was trying to fight Mayweather. Well, that was one of the versions. Another is the ref, Floyd and Roger all tied Hatton to a battering ram and smashed his head into the turnbuckle. Now, that would ruin anybody's chin, man.

Yeah maybe it was years of punishment, he was certainly in some hard fights. He was in alot of exciting fights before he came big, this is what alot of fans dont realise, they think hes just hit and hold and later I suppose he did become a bit like that (someone in the general described him as a light welterweight John Ruiz ) but when he was younger on the domestic scene he was a really good, exciting inside fighter. It seemed when he stepped up in class he changed his style to tie opponents up and take less risk.

As for the Mayweather fight, as a British fan I know he was simply outclassed.

DANNY LOPEZ:patsch GTFOH:lol::lol::lol: How many times have you seen Lopez fight:huh Have you seen his war with Mike Ayala? Or how about his 2 fights with Sanchez who thru everything but the kitchen sink at him, and Sanchez was a good puncher.

Very Bad call!! Far from a bad chin. He would go down(more so earlyin his career) but he always got up and He had a pretty good chin if you ask me or any knowledgeable boxing fan.

Also to the Tm well i agree that Benn was hurt quite a few times in his career but he was in some great slugfest that any one with a weak chin would have never survived.
Check out the fight with serious Atomic bomb thrower Gerald Mccellan and tell me he had a bad chin.

Augie Sanchez was an excellent fighter with big Power but he probably had the weakest chin of any world class fighter ive ever seen. He made Terry Norris chin look like Jake Lamotta:lol:

IF he wouldnt of had a glass jaw Naz wouldve been in Big trouble.

    Jeremy Williams
    Alex Garcia
    Junior Jones
    TIm Austin

:good:goodwhich was why i made parallels between benn and lopez.
i remember reading about lopez in the 70's and i took note of his diet.up till then i thought all the boxing greats lived on steak but lopez was eating pasta and brocolli.i didn't know brocolli from a hole in the ground.

the main thing benn and lopez had in common was neither was in a dull fight:bbb

Here's one ... Benny Leonard ... I have read from multiple sources his physical strength and ability to take a punch were average at best and he used all his skills to mask this fact ...
