No one really stands out in Kessler's resume. He's looking bad cause he's fighting guy's with higher level. Plus Ward seems like a bad style for him. He should beat Froch soundly. If he looses to him then I see him as a B level fighter.

Kessler will KTFO Froch. Froch is slow, flat footed, and with no defense at all. Kessler will be landing his straight left all night long and knock him out
    in the 8 round!

If you are as inactive as kessler has been over the past few years more than likely it will affect you. Saying that, wards style it seems is just not good for kessler, ward is tricky and hard to hit but if kessler doesnt raise his game froch may even beat him.....

so your saying that Kessler losing his first fight against JC had no effect on him whatsoever??, he did himself proud in that fight i agree, but i doubt he feels the same

Wards win rates high in my books but what you just suggested is absurd, i remember losing my first football (soccer?) match it hurt and dented my confidence, the team adjusted and our confidence grew. Kessler made no adjustments and his confidence was low

Lacy ruined Lacy. he was nowhere near as good as he thought he was. and it was only a matter of time before someone with skill stepped up without being intimidated by him and outlcassed him. It was only a coincidence that it was Calzaghe.

Hes just abit more shitty than he was before Calzaghe slapped him silly, because of unactivity and loss of confidence.

 What a hilariously bizarre and feeble analogy.

Are you equating the mindset of Mikkel Kessler, an experienced, accomplished, successful mature adult professional, with you when you were an adolescent pube-less snivelling kid playing an amateur team sport?!?!

Sorry, but that doesn't even merit a proper response.

the fact that you didnt give me a proper response shows me all i need to know... are you saying that no man in this world ever suffers from a lack of confidence or that the fact that kessler is a sportsman makes him immune to all the above problems us mortals face each day

what a stupid response, give me some of that **** your smoking:smoke

:rofl at the "Calzaghe took something out of him" comments.

Kessler has always been average, as much as the Calzaghe nuthuggers want to believe otherwise.

    You know it.

Neither guy is especially great or extraordinary.

    Kessler is limited.

    Calzaghe is nearly as limited.

Joe gets basically all of the TKOs in his career against a bunch of domestic bums, struggles hard to beat a past peak weight dropping CE, struggles with a bunch of average guys in his career, hides with a BS belt for ten years, then closes out his career by struggling with a 40+ ATG (who had also looked poor in two close fights with Jermain Taylor because he was 40 f**king +), and then beats another 40 year old ATG (getting dropped hard early) who had been left twitching by too good by also old fighters in GJ and AT a few years earlier and he's great? No way.

The overrating of Joe Calzaghe is off the chart on ESB.

It is so absurd isn't it? Laughable ****.

I agree with some here that Kessler injuries and out of the ring issues have all contributed to his lack of performance. Hopefully the Ward loss motivates him to come back stronger and I see him outboxing Froch with some rough moments. I see Kessler's chin getting tested as well, but he shakes it off en route to a UD.
