I don't like that it caused a great fight to get cancelled.

apart from that, I'm all for more stringent testing as long as the fighters go into the ring at 100%. Olympic style or not.

from a one non-random urinalysis to an unknown number of random urine and blood testing is too drastric and fast of a change i say. first the cost would not prove to be a friend. 2nd is the invasiveness of the procedures. olympic style testing works(really?) because atheletes are confined in one place for a certain duration of the event. how could the adapt it to professional boxing as a whole?

why not the commissions adapting random test first and see where it will lead to?

Olympic style testing is invasive, unaccountable and ill suited for professional sports.

Boxing commissions can handle this just fine.

It is all about a reasonable level playing field. It is not about absolute control.

nope its the *****s blaming *******s that they are against Olympic Style Blood Testing because pacman refused to take a blood test.

its not AGAINST, it is how being introduced. the mayweathers accused pacman to be doping and they want to prove something for personal intentions.

No problem with it at all. As long as it's sanctioned by boxing authorities and not just something to be implemented by a boxer whenever it suites them.

have u ever put your dick in a girl's ass? that's much more invasive than any blood test for a boxer. Seriously, you sound like Bob Arum. Too drastic? What's drastic? Ask Shane Mosley how bad it is? Have u ever donated blood? People do every day, eat a cookie, and go back to work.

putting your dick in someone's ass and donating a blood is something you do voluntarily. blood testing if it will be enforced is not and needs a commission to approve it.

too drastic means changing from one perspective to another one that requires too much change. as i said, let the commissions first ammend their rule of non-random test to random and let's see where it will lead to.

A number of reasons. You likely don't understand how Olympic style blood testing works.

    1. It's not needed. HGH and anything else someone takes is detectable in urine.
    2. No sport in the Olympics or Cyclying is about beating the crap out of your opponent. While this may seem minor it is not. Needles provide an entry point to bacteria and viruses. Plus, weight drained fighters are not the easiest to draw blood from. Does anyone really want a fight delayed because a fighter tore a vein?
    3. The silly random factor really hurts training. This happens in Cycling as well. That random can mean 2am, and you have 30 minutes to appear. This can and does play havoc with training schedules. Middle of a sparring session, too bad, if the random tester arrives. Exhausted by training? Too bad if it's 3 am and the random tester arrives.

It's a hassle that simply doesn't provide much, in any sport.

Plenty of boxers get caught with urine tests, the same with many other sports. The emphasis on drawing blood, and random times at all hours is silly.

To be fair, that usually comes with a fair bit of warning where as a random blood test doesn't.

I'm not just anally violating chicks as I see them in the supermarket now. I'm a gentleman.

I am not against it, I just think the timing was bad. There are also many doubts as to it will be as effective as the methods already being used. But whatever.

why is it needed? because floyd said so? so why are all 99.9999% of all other pro boxing fights doesn't need olympic style testing. stringent testing is not always better. yes you could have solve one problem but it will involve many other problems. continue reading his posts and be enlightened.

to be honest, i don't think the timing could have been better. It's a real topic and a real issue and pretty much the one fight that can garner attention to the issue.
