off course they're still watched because they're elite.. but they dont draw a big audience unless their opponent is a name boxer.. neither mayweather or hopkins are big draws on ppv unless they are fighting someone big like a pacquia, dlh, jones.

RIGONDEAUX NEEDED JUST 20 SECONDS TO PUT ADOLFO LANDEROS AWAY!

A body shot 20 seconds in dropped Adolfo Landeros (20-12) on ESPN2'S FNF, and seconds later the overmatched opponent was counted out, lying on the canvas for several minutes in pain. Rigondeaux, a lethal puncher often being criticized being too cautious and calm in there, opened up quickly and it only took one clean body shot to close the show. Rigo is now 5-0 with 4KOs, 3 of them being lethal body shots, which is impressive. Let's just hope the next guy will be a tough, dangerous contender or something, Rigondeaux should not waste time with these bums and jump 3 levels for a title shot, he has to be matched smart. In other news: Rigo is donating his entire purse for the Children of Haiti Fund, which is an excellent and very gentle move from the classy Cuban.

Been saying for years....future ATG. Jackasses have disagreed but it has only been for the sake of disagreeing. And for those who think amateur backgrounds mean nothing in the pros....think again!

that makes it 3 straight fights ended on a shot to the kidneys, absolutely incredible. Takes speed, power, and a WHOLE lotta accuracy to hit the button and put a guy down. I'm starting to think Rigo might be able to down Cab. Cab's got a really frail frame and he leaves his body open for counter when he throws his wild combinations. That is a good fight:good

I hope maybe seeing how easy he is going they try to feed him some tastier treats than a guy flirting with a losing record who's been stopped in his past two. This can't be good for Rigo. It gives him nothing but a number. If they want him to get a title shot soon, maybe give him some guys coming off of wins. No worse than 10-1, 15-2, 20-3 type fighters.

    Great, beautiful KO. Thanks BB.

But they REALLY have to match him with better fighters. This is getting ridiculous and is a f*cking insult to Rigo.

What the f*ck is he learning from this?!:patsch:twisted:

Well his first few opponents are leagues ahead of most fighter's first few opponents. You can't expect anybody, no matter who they are, to get a title shot in 4 or 5 fights. They have to work their way up the ranks. Nobody is going to hand it to them. Still, however terrible his opponents may be, they still have more fights in the pros than they do seconds in the ring against Rigondeaux. His opponents' records going into their fights against Rigondeaux are 3-2, 4-2-3, 60-11, 6-4-1, and 20-12-1. So, he's doing no less than expected.

They have to start moving rigo up soon, these ort of fights are doing nohing for him, he's not learning anything really and because of age he hasn't got time to mess about. I'd get him 1 hard fight at gatekeeper level and if he comes through that with flying colours head towards cabellero

Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking him. What I'm saying is we have a guy who is more than capable of taking on better competition now, who has a later start in the game after competing in so many amateur matches for so long and yes, look a few fights back in those you've listed. Andrade with 60-11. Then this guy? That's a step backwards and it is simply not helping him "get there". He needs some rounds against some decent opponents who can offer some resistance. Somebody ranked perhaps.

Yes, other people have far easier tests this early. He's not your average prospect. This is not helping him, imo. Ever hear of Saensak Muangsurin? I think Rigo has that kind of potential as far as jumping into a world title. I'd certainly like him to have a couple well-ranked people before they put him in with a freakishly tall Caballero too as they're proposing. If they really want to get him in there with him this year, then they shouldn't be wasting their time on somebody who's been stopped in both his last fights. Again, I don't feel it helps him. This is my position. It is not a knock on Rigondeaux.

Hey, your avatar pic is amazing. Pac's head is about 3 times as big as Rigondeaux's.

Let's compare their head size in 2-3 years time :yep
