Honestly. A lot of people, especially Williams fans, would be saying Pav is still fighting bums had Martinez not given Williams the fight he gave him or ever fought Williams. Hope Martinez wins.
That's exactly how I feel. Personally I feel that Martinez workrate declined in the later rounds and even though they were very tired I feel Williams did more to catch a victory. I wouldn't argue if people scored it for Sergio though.
Though a Pavlik Ko is possible I'm going to just wait and see on the date of the fight. !LETS GET READY TO RUMMMMBLLLLLE!
Lets get ready to rumble:yep Love it! We know Buffer will bring his "A Game" even if no one else does!
I know both fighters will bring their A-Game too come day of the fight and that's why I anticipate it so much.
Gotta respect Martinez, the man is not afraid of any challenge and has very nice skills too. This will be a very interesting fight, and Pavlik will have to show all aspects of his game to win, because Martinez is solid.
Where does that put Williams by your logic? Pavlik, Martinez, and Williams are all good fighters, and I hope that we get to see who the best out of the three is.
It's actually kind of a wierd fight to try and think your way through. I don't think Martinez can engage enough to win 7 rounds without taking some flush shots, and I don't think he can handle to many of those.
I don't know if anyone told you but PW beat Martinez!! So PW passed that test!! Now it's KP's turn! If you had cread what i was responding too then you would know why I asked that question!!
I think Pavlik will beat him, but you never know in boxing, that's why this fight is exciting to me. Martinez brings the kind of style that will trouble Pavlik, at least the first part of the fight, and if his chin and stamina hold up, then he could win.
This fight will look like Cotto-Margarito IMO. The smaller, faster fighter outboxing the bigger, slower one but yet despite winning, if you look closely, you'll be able to see the momentum being in the bigger fighters favor. And that's what I expect, Martinez to look very fast and sharp early on and seemingly unable to miss with his punches as Pavlik pressures him until Martinez begins to fade, and then KO's him.
