To be fair he should of made the fight, he'd better make the khan fight.

 

The reason this fight was so interesting was because stylistically Witter had the style to obliterate Hatton and FW and Hatton knew it. The fact that FW unceremoniously dumped Witter and fed him to the wolves hoping he was simply going to go away, followed by Witters ascent to a world title and domestic champ the traditional and harder route that Hatton deliberately avoided gave me even more respect for Witter. Witter was never given a bone. Hatton on the other hand had a silver spoon.

 

Sorry, but theres nothing else to say about that twisting of both fighters careers but

Hatton's pathetic exuses changed, but the underlying truth was always there, that he didn't want to fight Witter as he knew there was a good chance he get his clock cleaned by Junior.
Make no mistake, Wicky 'Atton has always been out for Wicky 'Atton, and that's it. All that bollocks about doing this and that for his fans.....he was ducking Witter and fighting Vilches, Pdersen, Stephen Smith etc etc.....and yet Hatton arsensiffers carry on with the tired old line that Witter never was on Hatton's level and didn't 'deserve' the fight.
****ing disgrace to boxing the money-grabbing twat is.

 

Honestly i think Witter would make it interesting for around 4 rounds until Hatton starts to bully him and break him down.

I know its the "in" thing on here nowadays to hate Hatton but from what Witter did in his career makes people know that he would have obliterated Hatton?

People comment on Hatton picking his opponents but look at Witter as well his resume isnt exactly steller either.

Witter looked good for the early part against Ndou then struggled down the stretch, he laboured against Colin Lynes who in his next fight was tko'd in 9. He then fought Corley and didnt look all that good in posting a UD, then Corley went 0-5 in his next 5 fights.

He looked good awful against Morua, he performed well against Harris and then went and lost to Bradley.

Then for his comeback he fights the great Argentinian Castro who was what 29 - 4 and then has lost his last 2 since Witter.

Yet Hatton gets slated for fighting a former title challenger in Lazcarno as his comeback fight.

Im not hating on Witter, im not a fan as i would rather have someone drop molten liquid on my eyes than watch the guy fight but people are acting like the guy never got a break. He did he was world champion but never shone in any fight other than the Harris fight.

And the only time he ever fought a young undefeated fighter, in Bradley or Alexander he lost.

 

I have no idea if Hatton would have starched Witter or vice versa.What we all know is that the British fight fans were deprived of what would have been a good match up.

What really pisses me off is the Hatton fought the two best p4p fighters line.

Hatton was completely outclassed by both and was their easiest fights.

 

hatton gave many reasons why the fight never came off, let alone it was the fight the british fans wanted to see. now i don't believe hatton was scared of witter, but he did duck witter. hatton could of fought witter when he fought lazcano, but he didn't. i think the witter fight made more financial sense aswell than the lazcano fight,and it would of been for the title.

everybody can make all the excuses they want, it doesn't deny the fact that hatton ducked witter, and it was blatantly obvious.

 

The biggest reason why Ricky found himself in the position to sign off deals to fight firstly FMJ and secondly Pacman was because he is such a big box office draw and brought millions of fans/viewers (and therefore their hard earned) to the table.

 

I have always said Witter would have beaten Hatton and that is the only reason this fight was never made...:yep

It is a crock to say that Witter out priced himself because domestically Hattons promoter of that time could have got that fight made for peanuts in terms of decent purses...:yep

When the clock rolled by and Hatton was getting lots if cash he was never going to give Witter a fight on the back of his name...:yep

Then when Witter had the WBC strap Hatton was looking at much bigger Las Vegas paydays... Cos if people like it or not to say Witter was bringing nothing to the table with his WBC strap was bollox, that is the belt Hatton should have got his name on...:yep

 

so your saying that hatton should of gone for a fight with Witter instead of the big fights against atg in Vegas?!?

Now if hatton had taken the fight and smashed Witter and not gone to Vegas you would have said that he ducked fighters and wouldnt leave his comfort zone of the UK. Haters will always be haters atsch
