UFC 109 Couture vs Coleman Discussion Thread ***SPOILERS***

ah man, i get sad thinking that we'll never see randy vs fedor

 

Dont jump the gun. This was never even supposed to be the main event. UFC 109 got all ****ed up because of the dropouts from injury. They did the best they could.

Thankfully this is the last card to be affected by the slew of injuries, rest of the year will be awesome

 

Fedor would shrug off Couture like a baby then KOs him THAT fight doesn't get out of the 1st.

 

I don't know that it would have made for a different outcome, but Coleman made no attempt to make that bout a wrestling match. I don't know if he was trying to conserve energy, or if Couture made him reluctant to clinch.

That was a quality win for Couture. I don't care what people say about how Coleman looked tonight. Couture deserves credit for making him look that way. Coleman gave Shogun a tough fight, and defeated Bonnar. Just because Coleman has a droopy face doesn't mean he is a gimme opponent.

 

Or Randy gets him to the ground and gets submitted :smoke

 

No Problem with the card. Its the Main event I have a problem with. I want to see at least a champion in every ppv, or at least an elimination match.

I'm actually glad koscheck got injured so that Swick can now re-think his future, I mean had he not gotten choked out silly tonight, he would have still thought he's a contender.

i just dont like rehashing old shot fighters. I mean Chuck and Tito?? people seriously think this will be good as a ME??

Not Randy Couture subbing a Mark Coleman who looked so old it was like Randy was beating up his crippled 80 year old father.

 

Based on what they do and the point that they're at in their lives I really doubt Ortiz has anything to fear from Coleman.

Machida Shogun, Rampage, Silva etc would DESTROY Couture.

Beating Coleman means **** all.

 

Yeah I like that too not as the Main Event. I want to see a clash of top contenders as a main event or a Championship fight.

A good example is JDS vs. Gonzaga. JDS is a heavy favorite but Gonzaga has a chance and the winner has to be given a title shot. Gimme this fight over Tito vs. Chuck. Give me Vera vs. Jones.

 

Good god. Did anyone see that Rolles Gracie fight? Wasn't he supposed to be the next big thing?

This is the first card that I've actually regretted ordering in a long time.
