The Shogun that fought Machida would have flattened coleman miles quicker than Couture did.

Tito Vs. Chuck is gonna be another total UFC embarrassment. Unfortunately alot of morons will pay for it and UFC will have no reason NOT to put together more shot fighter events. Maybe next we get Frye Vs Shamrock again.

Oddly enough, this was one of those fights that only got exciting when it hit the ground, right as Randy got Mark's back and the choke began to appear inevitable. Up until then it was another stale episode of the "The Natural dirty boxing against the cage" show.

This fight was about as late to the party (and no longer on the guest list) as the Hopkins-Jones rematch.

Is anybody pumped for Severn-Abbot II at UFC 120?

Rutten vs. Kerr at UFC 150?

Seriously, how the **** was this a UFC PPV headliner in 2010??

So glad I stopped paying for these things years ago.

I guess Vera and Jones aren't big enough names to sell an event. Tito vs Chuck puts butts in the seats from a marketing standpoint.

Well to be fair - both Randy and Coleman were coming off wins over younger up and coming contenders. Unlike some of the other names who haven't fought for years or perhaps have had only a handful of fights in outlaw organizations. Couture are Coleman were active and coming off wins over younger opponents. Coleman didn't get old overnight. Couture's fists played father time upside his head and turned him old in the ring.

I hear ya. You have to have plenty of money to pay for these kind of shows. You have maybe 2 or 3 in a year thats worth paying. This Abu Dhabi card is worth paying for. Any heavyweight championship probably is.

    I would love to see a Hackney/Royce rematch:lol:

Rolles Gracie put in one of the worst performances I've ever seen.

    Embarrassing.

Yup after-all the UFC is all about making the money. If it don't make dollars it don't make cents.

I'm having trouble with my mouse. It is near impossible to post. Forget about direct responses.

Tuffnutz, do honestly think that Rua was not up for Coleman? Coleman broke his arm, and taunted him. You really think Rua was overlooking that fight?

Like I said its a money grab for casual fans, but Its crazy that some posters in here will pay for this fight. Vera/Jones card is a very good MMA card. If you put another eliminator like a Koscheck vs. Hardy, then thats a great card.

What are they supposed to be evangelists? It's the fight game which is part of the fight business. The business has to thrive to bring the fight game to the rest of us.

You have to give respect to Couture first off... what a great performance for him and I am sure that he feels great right now. The man just never ****ing stops improving himself, even as his physical prime has passed him by.

I feel horrible for Coleman. I know that he really needs these fights, but the man just doesn't have it in him anymore. I have no problem with them keeping him around as a gatekeeper if he so desires because he definitely doesn't want to retire... but I don't want to see him in matchups against the proven top guys in the division anymore.

On a side note... Tito Ortiz is a ****in' classless *****. How is he going to talk **** on Coleman after tonight? Feeding on the old bones of Shamrock wasn't enough for him? He wants to try and pick fights with Coleman now at this stage? Coleman called it right when he called him a douchebag. Way to try and kick and old legend while he's down Tito. Just reassure everyone in the world that you are definitely still an immature little *****.

Does anyone know what Tito said to Coleman? I couldn't make it out when it happened?
