Quigley is a very very good grappler by all acounts and i've heard a story about him having Rampage Jackson in a lock in training and not letting go. Apparently Jackson went mad and Quigley and him nearly went at it, quigley offered him outside :rofl

Apparently his is very very good at MMA and his strength certainly shown in that Smith fight :good

I did know that previously Quigley's arl fella offered a bit of boxin advice to the MMA guys. Apparently he was a coach a 'Wolfslair' for a time.

Fair play, you get ou what you put in!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know mate not saying he seriously wanted it or anything but apparently it was funny - just handbags and that coz they were only practising and quigley would release a grip or summat

Quigley flattened Check Kongo in the gym and rampage wouldn't get in the ring with him after it FACT. Paul Kelly tells me that Quigley is the hardest puncher he's ever been hit by and that all the lads at the wolfslair say the same thing, Tony's Dad used to be the boxing coach at the wolfslair and left, They wanted Tony to go in the UFC and Tony's dad didn't want him to.. Simple as that really, Tony Quigley has amazing core strength that comes from his Karate background!! The kid has an unreal chin and is amazingly physiacally strong!! He isn't the biggest puncher BUT is a very good fighter who'll give any middleweight in Britain problems...

Another good domestic fight. Smith like Quigley is not a super middleweight. They are middleweights and even light middleweights if they trained like men possessed.

    Can't wait to see it.

I'll be rooting for Dodson to beat Smith and try to avenge his loss in a first defence against Quigley.

If he wants to get further in boxing surely he should concentrate on training pure boxing? If however he is that good at mma surely he should choose that as he may earn more in the ufc than boxing at domestic level. I understand that he might enjoy it etc etc but he should pick one and go for it.

Cant wait for this fight. Should be a war.

I've been fairly middle of the road in my predictions. One thing I cant stand though is all the hate on Smigga. The lad is British champion, how about people just give him a bit of respect?!

That being said... I fancy Dodson. Smith beat Quigley very narrowly. In my opinion, it was the right decision, but not much in it. I had Smith by two rounds, but there were a few rounds that could have gone either way. I think Dodson's aggression though will prove more difficult for Smith to deal with than Quigley's neat skills.

Either way, just hope it's an absolute barn stormer. Havent really got a preference for the fight so I'll have the luxury of being a complete neutral for this one!!

It is going to be one of those fights that could go either way to be honest, but i think there is a great chance it will be a much better spectacle than quigley - smith.
The thing with someone coming at smith agressively though, is that he tends to meet that head on, which is what will make it a better fight. It isn't going to come down to silky skills from either boxer, it will be who puts who onto the back foot more, and who has the best chin too.
I am in team Smigga, and i too cant understand all the hate.
But anyway those people hating, we wont change them.
Another great night in liverpool again though.
Am glad too that Smigga is getting a step up, because if he comes through it well, then it will put a lot of the doubts to bed for some people, but others just wont be happy!
