I have been to Las Vegas to watch Hatton 4 times... I was watching Hatton in front of 1,500 when he first turned over. My points are: In my opionion Witter would have beaten Hatton. Witter held a much more credible strap and Hatton should have gone for that strap if Witter had it or not. Hatton did right by chasing the paydays in Las Vegas, I went to them all. In boxing the money talks everytime. I don't think that Hatton ducked Witter, his promoter would not let him fight him...:yep A Hatton hater, you are so off the mark... I have been to nearly all of his fights...but I feel that Witter would have beat him...
Sorry mate but you are the one with your head up your ass when it comes to Ricky Hatton If you really think Ricky did everything for his "fans" then you are the one who cannot see the bigger picture.
no one is moaning about hatton fighting mayweather and pac, how can they as they're the two best fighters in the world, but i know for a fact that british fans wanted hatton and witter, and the only reason that fight didn't happen was because hatton didn't want that fight. like i've said many times, hatton could of fought witter when he was WBU champion, he also could of fought witter instead of lazcano. you can say what you want, but hatton ducked witter for whatever reason, i don't know, but he did duck witter.
Spot on. Hatton used his popularity as leverage very effectively. Not saying that's right or wrong, but it's clear as day that it was/is the case.
I never said he did it for the fans at the end of the day he does it for himself a boxing career can be cut very short so why not cash in whilst you can? I just dont see how Ricky ducked Witter simple, I also think ricky would of blasted him out within the 12 if they fought. In my oppinion it was Warren who would not put the fight on because it would have been a tough test for Ricky and it wouldnt of been a pretty fight
