arreola has the power to hurt him. no doubt about it. but don't overlook adamek's durability, his resistence to pain, and his recovery powers.

let's say arreola wobbles him with one of those big, slow shots. adamek knows what to do when hurt, smother, hold on, clear his head (he did this after taking a massive shot from banks). adamek is a veteran, and knows when to defend, when to attack.

if adamek makes it thrugh the first 5 or 6 rounds, i'll bet arreola tires, starts to look really ropey, and could be in some trouble.

i go for adamek to find a way, if all else fails. he's hungry, he needs the TV date, he needs the win. and he is a damn good world champ, as well.

The Estrada fight raises a lot of eyebrows for this one. If Estrada is able to sometimes bully Tomasz then so can Chris.

However, I think it was a matter of styles. Chris doesn't have as good a defense as Estrada and he's going to get pounded on. So eventually I think Tomasz will bang him enough in the body to really slow him down. Chris is super tough, though... Estrada hit Tomasz flush a surprising amount. Chris has a good chance to win the fight early, and Tomasz has a good chance to win it later.

If Arreola really comes in at 235 that's bad news.

Arreola KO......And I don't think it would be a very competitive fight.

Why? Cause Arreola will eat him? Arreola knows how to swing wildy and has power. His chin is prob. under rated based on one fight. But name one opponent Arreola has beaten who's better than Adamek. McCline and Minto ain't close to TA. Arreola looked dumbfounded and pathetic against Vitali.

After watching last night's fight, I would change my vote to Arreola by late KO. I think Adamek will still dominate him early, but I think Arreola would eventually catch up with him. If Adamek had been in there with a puncher last night, he probably would have been knocked out after he gassed.

Not gonna happen. Arreola can't help himself at night. Anyways The lighter weight would undoubetdly help him down the stretch, but would not magically give him skills he doesnt have.

I'm not sure. I think its a tough pick but if anything if Adamek takes Arreola past 6 rounds, he's very likely to win. Adamek typically starts out conservative and slow and gets more comfortable as the fight goes on, whereas Arreola's weight hampers his conditioning down the stretch.

    Adamek looked winded against Estrada.

I think he has more ability than Arreola, but stamina is the key in a fight against Arreola.

he did look tired, but he was still throwing lots of punches. i think stamina is something that has to be built up, i.e. getting used to fighting when carrying 220-pounds, and coping with a near 240-pound man leaning his weight on you.

holyfield, who went 15 brutal rounds vs hall of famer dwight muhammad qawi at cruiserweight, was exhausted in the 12th round vs an old, overweight george foreman. he got badly booed for holding on in the last minute, of their undisputed heavyweight title fight in 1991. foreman was slow, was old, but crucially was leaning 256-pounds of weight on holyfield...

Stoppage is pretty much his only chance to win. Its a good chance, so Adamek will have to be mobile. I agree Adamek's stamina will be key.

Styles make fights and I think Adamek will win a comfortable points victory against Arreola.

I agree but only if Adamek finds a way around Arreola's bombs or if he really has a freak chin. All of the important fights that Ive seen Adamek in (with the exception of Bell) he gets hit. Sometimes i think this is necessary for him to set up his favorite short punches.

Its too soon after the fight. Give it a few days. Some people still need to see this fight and not rely on descrpitions some of which a grossly exaggarated, based on the high expectations for Adamek.
