In the regional golden gloves tournament, and I must say.. I'm nervous as ****. I did very well in sparring the other day, but am nervous that I can't repeat that same performance. Gahh, I'm just blabbering because of the nerves. Any advice would be great
Good luck. Don't go crazy and burn yourself out is the best thing I can tell you. We had a show yesterday and like 11 guys/girls made their debuts, and that was the biggest thing I noticed. Kids go nuts from the adrenaline and throw everything they have, gassing themselves out halfway through the fight. Don't forget to hit him in the body either
If you remember 10% of what you did in the gym you're good. Don't think about it too much, just get it out of the way. If you did your preparation in the gym, there isn't much you can do any more.
i know its not easy but trying to relax and listening to what you've been told, helps. i also know from experience that once the bell rings,it all goes out of the window. my first fight was nearly 32 years ago and i can still remember it.so will you !! best of luck mate.
best of luck first fight is always crazy for nerves, i had my first fight at 16 and i think its better to have it long before that age, a younger version of me might not have been so anxious, what age are you?? the hardest part you will find is trying to control your nerves, hopefully you put a lot of work into your training because you are going to burn up a lot of energy during the prefight hours and you will tire quicker, try drinking an energy drink 30 mins before lucozade or one of those incase you have burned up alot of energy when you get to the venue try stay relaxed, concentrating on breathing properly, visualise yourself leaving the ring victorious and the feeling you will have when leaving the ring, anxiety is a **** dont let it get to you
I'm 17 right now, turning 18 next month. Hey off topic question, the sides of my nose seemed to have widened, as if it were swelling but it's been like that for a week. Is there a way I can fix that, or am I just screwed? haha
Courage is doing what you're afraid to do. There can be no courage unless you're scared. Best wishes for a fine performance
