Roy clearly has mental issues. If only he had retired after the John Ruiz fight. What a shame that he has continued on. Even if Bhop gives him a beatdown i fully expect Roy to fight again.

    Why just sour grapes?

There could be some truth in this, no?

You can't just expect everything to be above ground all the time especially in this sport.

..... and again, all from a two time covicted drug cheat!!!! fk off jones your arrogance and sooking is pathetic.

there is no truth as the officials on the night approved the wraps so no blame can be placed on green. if they are approved they are legal.

This guy just does not know when to give it away. I think he might be a little jealous and maybe even envious of what Bernard has been able to achieve at the age of 45.

Roy fails to realise that what made him so good in his prime, was his athleticism, reflexes and speed (something he no longer has), not his pure boxing skills. It was the reason he was able to get away with so much by fighting so unorthodoxly over his career. If he had spent more time developing those fundamental skills, he could have possibly had a chance to keep fighting, but sadly the guy is just a shell of his former self, and it's really depressing to see him continuing.

  6. Would love to see a rematch.

It's sad to see Roy acting like a bum though. He lost by letting in a haymaker like any other mortal boxer. Taking defeat the right way is just as important as taking victory.

    Well said.

Though dazed on the night, RJJ seemed to take the loss in a sportsmanlike manner, including helping raise Green's hand. Since however, he's performed like a bloody pimadonna!

Roy's made his millions, won his titles, and is extremely unlikely to further enhance his reputation.

But who's gonna get through to Roy that it's time to quit??

Roy lost a **** load of money on his music label when he got in to the rap business.

He needs cash and will play it up a treat to get it.

Now this sort of stuff makes sense, that's a valid reason why he might be fighting on.

We have a croation amatuer fighter at our gym whos pretty much in the know of most things boxing and hangs with a few pro boxers now and then and he swore black and blue last night at training he knows for a fact that rjj didnt prepare at all for that fight with green.

His sparring partners arrived that late that minimal sparring was all he did,no warm up before the fight and admits that rjj obviously thought green was a bum so roy wasnt really concerned about lack of preparation but knew he needed to at least get warm and start picking green off after 3 or 4 rounds but got caught early as we all know and that was the end of that.
If they rematch,a prepared rjj shows up this time.
And to be honest you could tell rjj had prepared for lacy, but not for green.
As much as lacy is shot the way roy picked him apart should have showed most of us that he would trouble green, but the way it ended you could see rjj hadnt done any research/training etc for green fight.
If rjj does rematch and prepares he will beat green no doubt, but lose to b hop then id say its all over,

If RJJ can beat Hopkins on pts then a rematch with Green might be bigger than the first fight.

Whether or not that happens remains to be seen, i just hope Roy can show something against Bhop win / loss or draw so boxing in Oz can get another internation fight night.
